Paris is finally out of surgery and is recovering in the ICU. Her family and friends are here as well. Her sister is quite odd, she won't stop looking at me.
"You guys can go meet her."
"Can I talk to Paris alone real quick, then I have to leave," I asked everyone.
"Sure go ahead, sweetheart," Mrs. Smith replied with a smile.
"Paris, how are you?" I asked.
"It hurts, but I got it."
"Look before I go to practice I have to ask you something."
"Shoot ya shot big boy," Paris jokes. Even though she just got out of a tough surgery she was still herself. Paris was still cracking jokes.
"Will you be my girlfriend, Paris Smith? I almost lost you twice. I can't lose you again." I stood for what felt like the longest minute ever when Paris reached out for my hand.
"Yes, but we can't tell anyone."
"You got it, ima go to practice. Woohoo," I said walking out.
"Bye guys, I hope to see you all soon," I said to everyone waiting to meet Paris. Devonta and Tobias were the first to jump up and head straight to Paris while her family slowly got up and grabbed their stuff.
I hope things don't go bad and that everything works out between everyone. I hope Paris tells laylah cuz last time she didn't, a whole fight went down and Paris ended up in the hospital. I made it to the stadium and texted Paris...

She didn't respond, which is probably because she doesn't have her phone with her. Her phone has been with Laylah or Jalen, I'm not sure. I walked into the stadium and saw Ben. He started walking towards me...
"You're the one driving so go somewhere," she responded with an attitude. Clearly someone was mad about earlier.
"Why are you mad?"
"Cause you are annoying. You couldn't tell I like you then you wanna get all mad about me wanting to give Nick a chance when you don't even like me." What just happened? Did she say she likes me?
"Girl, I don't know what made you think I-"
"Just take me home bighead."
