CHAPTER TWO:
JOTUNHEIM
THE GROUP HAD all gotten onto their horses after preparing themselves and grabbing their weapons. They seven rode through Asgard, soon riding out of the gate and on the bridge. Eventually, they came to a stop, hopping off their horses as they began walking towards Heimdall, a God of keen eyesight and hearing, who stood at the end of the bridge, blocking their path."You leave this to me." Loki says to Thor before his brother could do anything, giving a wink to Y/n, making her smile. "Good Heimdall--"
"You're not dressed warmly enough." Heimdall observes, interrupting him.
"I'm sorry?" Loki asks.
"Do you think that you can deceive me?" Heimdall questions.
Loki chuckles slightly. "You must be mistaken--"
"Enough!" Thor interrupts, walking forward. "Heimdall, may we pass?"
"Never has an enemy slipped my watch until this day. I wish to know how that happened." Heimdall replies.
"Then tell no one where we have gone until we've returned. Understand?" Thor asks.
He doesn't even let the God answer as he walks past him, the others starting to follow the God of Thunder as Loki continues to stand there.
"What happened? Silver tongue turn to lead?" Volstagg jokes, glancing at Loki as they walk past.
His words make the others chuckle as Y/n slowly walks to Loki, grabbing his hand. The God of Mischief glances at her, meeting her e/c eyes. Y/n tugs on his hand, mumbling a small 'come on' before she follows the others inside, Loki trailing behind her. Heimdall stands on the platform as he places his sword down into the floor, the Bifrost beginning to open.
"Be warned. I will honor my sworn oath to protect this realm as it's Gatekeeper. If your return threatens the safety of Asgard, Bifrost will remain closed to you and you'll be left to die in the cold waste of Jotunheim." Heimdall warns.
"Couldn't you just leave the bridge open for us?" Volstagg questions.
"To leave the bridge open would unleash the full power of the Bifrost and destroy Jotunheim with you upon it." Heimdall replies.
"I have no plans die today." Thor states.
"None do." Heimdall murmurs in reply.
With that, he pushes his sword against the floor more, making the seven all go into the Bifrost, where they leave Asgard, soon landing in the cold Jotunheim. All of them glance around as Loki walks closer to Y/n, grabbing her hand in his. It was quiet. Rather too quiet.
"We shouldn't be here." Y/n speaks up in a quiet voice.
"Let's move." Thor demands, ignoring her words.
