*TOM'S POV*

I was taking Imogen out again this afternoon.

It was becoming quite a habit. Yet nothing seemed to ever come of it.

The papers had made speculations about us, but they never really had any evidence to back it up. All they had were oictures of us out together. But it's not like we were even doing anything. We were only ever pictured talking or getting into a car.

Nothing to say that we were actually dating though.

The papers liked making stories up though. They all assumed that we were doing it, just to get back at Max for the way that he acted and treated her before they broke up.

Even though that has nothing to do with it.

I just like Imogen for the person that she is. She doesn't need to pretend to be someone that she isn't because she's perfect the way that she is. Her personality always brings a smile to my face when I'm sround her because she is always so happy about everything and never really seemed to be unhappy when I was out with her. And her smile just made me want to smile.

But I don't think she would ever want more than a friendship with me.

She's still getting over Max because him and Taylor seem to enjoy winding her up. They always rub her face in the fact that they are happy and she isn't.

I don't see why you would do something like that.

It's just immature and childish if you ask me. And it will get them nowhere in life.

I had the day planned. We were going shopping - like we always do - then I was going to take her out for something to eat - that always happened as well - and I was also going to be taking her to the cinema. But she didn't know that yet.

That was a surprise for her later on. Some people might see it as a date, but I just see it as two friends going out for a good time together. But other people can say what they like.

It's not going to bother me.

Me and Imogen are just friends. Nothing more and nothing less.

Simple really and people should just accept that.

*IMOGEN'S POV*

I've been ready for around an hour now. I don't know why I've been ready for that long though since Tom isn't picking me up for another two hours.

I look forward to days like this far too much, but I just need something to allow me to have some fun when I need a break. But at least he treats me like a real person and just treats me like I want to be treated.

Unlike Max.

He is so different from that and I actually like it.

I walked down the stairs and took a seat in the living room. I didn't bother putting the TV on, I just sat there in silence and thought about everything that had happened. It seemed that things were starting to go my way and I was finally getting the happiness which I had waited so long to have.

Not how I wanted things to go, but it's how they are now. So I'm just going to enjoy this and see where things end up.

Two hours later and there was a knock at the door. I knew who it was going to be so I just jumped up out of my seat. Opening the door almost straight away and there he was. Looking as attractive as ever. A smile on his face, like he was happy to be stood there waiting for me. He was wearing black jeans, a white tshirt and a pair of converse.
