*IMOGEN'S POV*

Me and Tom had been walked for around half hour now. His arm safely wrapped around me the whole time, protecting me from everything and anything.

We walked in nothing but silence.

But it wasn't an awkward silence. It was a relaxing silence that you only shared with someone who you had something special with. You know the type that I mean.

The one which gives you time to enjoy the moment and take everything that's going on around in. The one which allows you to feel happy about your life with the person that you're sharing it with. The one where you can nothing matters and everything is perfect.

That's the type of silence that it was and I loved it.

"What you thinking about?" Tom asked suddenly as the sound of the busy town drew nearer and nearer. Signalling that I was soon going to be leaving the safety of Tom's arms.

"Just stuff..." I smiled back at him.

"What stuff?" he laughed.

"About you and me and what you said earlier..."

"Well, I was just wondering. It's something I've been thinking about for a while now, but I didn't know how you would react when I told you!"

"I've been hoping for a long time now that you did feel the same. I do like you, but I just don't want to get hurt again..." I sighed at him.

"We don't have to rush into anything. We can just stay friends until you are ready; I'm not going to do anything that you don't want to do..." Tom replied, with a smile on his face.

"Friends is good with me for now!" I smiled back at him.

"Friends it is then..." he replied.

"So, where am I meeting Nareesha then?" I laughed.

"You're meeting me just here!" she screamed happily at me, appearing from around the corner.

Only I was disappointed to see that she had Taylor with her.

Nareesha and Taylor became close friends while I was with Max and then when I broke up with him and Taylor got with him, we never told Nareesha what really happened. We both agreed that we would never tell her because we didn't want her taking sides.

The only down side to that was, everytime I met up with Nareesha, she always had Taylor with her.

It was difficult pretending to be nice to her and act like we were still bestfriends. But we had to do it for the sake of Nareesha.

If it all went wrong, then I sure as hell wasn't going to be the one to tell Nareesha the truth. I had already made that one clear to Taylor and she had agreed to take the consequences. So it made things slightly more awkward than I thought they were going to be.

But I guess I can manage.

I always do.

"Go and have fun, I'll text you later. Try not to miss me too much..." Tom said with a smirk on his face. He always knew how to make things seem slightly better and I guess it wouldn't be that bad knowing I was going to be seeing Tom again at the end of this.

I would just look forward to that.

"I never miss you Parker. I only miss being horrible to you!" I laughed back as he pulled me into a hug.

"Don't lie to me or yourself; you know you miss me and my beautiful body!" he whispered softly in my ear before he pulled away. He sent shivers down my spine and made goose bumps appear on my skin.
