*IMOGEN'S POV*
I remember the night I met  Max in the club. It was a night just like any other for me really. I was going out with a few friends from work, Taylor being one of them, so we could celebrate the new contract which we had gained earlier that day. I was just looking forward to a good night out. A night where we could get hammered and celebrate in style. A night which I would surely forget the following morning.
That's the sort of night I was expecting.
But that wasn't the night I got.
I remeber the night far too well. It's like a film which repeatedly plays over in my mind. It was an amazing night, but if I could do it again, then I would make sure it was Taylor who spoke to Max. Not me. Then she wouldn't have felt the need to jump between his sheets as soon as he asked her to, just because he got bored with me. But before it all went wrong, I used to love playing that night over in my mind. It was the night that something actually went right for me and it was the night that my life changed for the better. But then it was taken away from me as quickly as I had gained it. Making it a much more painful memory than it used to be. Not it's something I wish I could forget rather than remember.
Let me take you back to that night so you understand exactly what I mean...
                              ELEVEN MONTHS AGO:
"Girls, are you ready to party in style?" Megan shouted at us all as she walked out of her office with the biggest smile ever on her face. She rarely smiled. Or asked us if we were ready to party. Something good must have happened today to change her attitude towards us all.
"Why, what's happened?" Taylor asked sounding slightly confused.
"That contract which we have been trying to win for nearly five months now, well....we finally got it!" Megan shouted at us again, the smile not moving off her face.
"So...we're going out drinking tonight?" Laura questioned, making sure she had heard Megan correctly when she said that we were going out partying. I mean, we were all shocked since Megan is usually the moodiest person you'll ever meet. She makes Cruella de Vil look friendly and a pig look attractive with the way that she acts towards us sometimes.
"Yes Laura. You can all go home right now and get ready. I'll arrange transport for all of us and the company will pay for drinks all night..." Megan replied and none of us needed telling a second time. Me, Taylor and the other eleven girls who worked in that department with us, rushed out of the building as quickly as we could. Not giving Megan a chance to change her mind now. She was going to be paying for us all night and we were going to take full advantage of this opportunity because it would never be happening again. We all knew that for sure.
"Is it alright if I come back to yours?" Taylor asked me. We had been bestfriends for nearly four years now and did everything together, apart from live with each other. We tried it once, but she kept bringing guys back at all hours of the morning so I asked her to leave. It was much better that way.
"Have you got stuff there then?" I replied, not even knowing what she had at my house and what she didn't.
"Yeah, I've got that dress there from Bradley's party the other week..." she said as she flipped her long, blonde hair over her shoulder. It was a mystery to me why she was still single. If I was a man then I would have asked her to be mine by now. But I'm not, so I'm sure she'll find someone that makes her happy soon enough.
"Oh right then. Well sure you can, as long as you don't try to steal any of my clothes!" I laughed at her, knowing what she was like when it come to being at my house. She 'borrowed' things and then never returned them. I've lost count of the number of shoes I've let her use and she's never given back to me. I just gave up asking for them back after a while.
