Scott pedaled into the Beacon Hills High School parking lot, his lacrosse stick strapped to his bag, weaving through the bustling crowd of students. Being in California, the atmosphere was vibrant, with skateboarders effortlessly leaping over steps, subtle smoke wafting from some pot enthusiasts, and couples walking hand in hand.

Amidst the commotion, a sleek, spotless BMW with the license plate JCKSN37 roared into the parking lot and came to a halt in the space adjacent to the bike racks. Scott maneuvered his bike towards one of the racks, intending to secure it.

Just as Scott knelt down to lock his bike, the driver's side door swung open and accidentally bumped him from behind. Startled, he glanced back to see Jackson Whittmore, whose remarkable good looks were usually accompanied by a lack of interest in anyone outside his social or affluent circle. Jackson stepped out of his car, seemingly oblivious to the fact that he had collided with Scott.

"Dude, keep an eye on the paint job," Jackson scoffed, retrieving his own lacrosse equipment. Oblivious to his own actions, he walked away, unaware of the impact on Scott.

Suddenly, a random student shouted, "Jackson!" Catching his attention, Jackson turned around and headed towards his friends, his favorite word resonating through the air. Pretty girls approached, greeting the attractive jocks with wide smiles and fancy cars. Meanwhile, Scott took a step back from the bike racks, adjusting his rucksack on his shoulder, bearing the expression of an outsider longing to find his place.

Stiles frowned and remarked, "Alright, let's assess the damage..."

In the bustling hallway, the school bell chimed, prompting both Morwen and Scott to remove their backpacks from their lockers. Scott lifted his shirt slightly, revealing a bandage on his lower back, as he turned to show Stiles.
