Meanwhile, back in the math classroom, Lydia leans in and whispers to Scott as they work on algebra problems on the chalkboard with their classmates.

Lydia scoffs, "Why is there a rumor going around that you won't be playing tomorrow?"

"Because I kind of... won't," Scott replies, shaking his head. Morwen enters the room a few minutes late, dressed in a white t-shirt tucked into black slacks, a long trench coat in a nude color, black boots, and sporting a piece of gold jewelry. They also carry a brown backpack.

"Sorry I woke up late, I'm here now," They hummed, as Morwen took their seat and retrieved their books. The math teacher instructs everyone to take a seat and get their materials ready, and Morwen nods in acknowledgment.

Lydia speaks quietly to Scott, her voice barely audible over the classroom activity. "I still think you're going to play. Especially after what happened when you collided with my boyfriend."

Scott sneers in response, "He ran into me and injured himself." The math teacher approaches the whiteboard, examining the work done by the students.

Lydia shakes her head, her eyes fixed on the board. "Jackson will be playing on Saturday. I prefer my partner to be in top form."

Scott starts to wonder if she's still talking about lacrosse. "Okay..."

Lydia grins at him and continues, "You see, I date the captain of a championship lacrosse team. I wouldn't date someone from a losing team unless they start winning. I don't go for losers. Do you understand how it works?"

Scott shakes his head, stating, "Losing one game isn't going to ruin anyone. In fact, it might save someone's life."

Lydia glances at him dismissively, saying, "I don't know what you're talking about. I don't care."

She snorts and adds, "Fine, don't waste your time. Anyway, we'll probably win. We'll go out as planned afterward. I'll introduce Allison to the other hot players on the team. Scott McCall can stay home and watch porn while she gets the attention she deserves." Lydia finishes her math problem, cleans the chalk from her hands, and struts back to her desk.
