Meanwhile, Scott stood in his room, clad only in a towel wrapped around his waist. Determined, he pulled open the closet door and started emptying its contents onto his bed.
In a hurry, Morwen burst into the room, swiftly shedding their clothes. They swiftly changed into a sleek black satin dress that fell just above the knee. Adorning their neck was a four-layered necklace, featuring a delicate gold hoop pendant. Completing the ensemble, they put on black socks and slipped into black satin thigh-high boots. Rummaging through their clothes, they finally found a white button-up shirt to layer over the dress.
Before descending to the kitchen, they stole a final glance at their reflection in the mirror, ensuring everything was in place.
Melissa's grin widened, and she playfully asked, "Is this a date?"
Scott's smile grew, and he replied, "Mom, could you give me a little privacy?"
Melissa approached him with a mischievous expression and placed her thumb lightly on his chin. She smiled and said softly, "Hold on, what do we have here?"
Amused, Scott chuckled but maintained his grin, replying, "I don't even have a razor..."
Just outside the McCall house, on the street, their voices carried with the same effect as the conversations Scott would overhear at school or the police station.
Melissa's grin persisted as she thought to herself, "You should borrow one of mine. I'll go get it. Just stay right where you are."
Unbeknownst to them, someone stood near a black Dodge Challenger, less than a hundred yards away, still within sight of the house, eavesdropping on their conversation—the enigmatic Derek Hale.
Now at Lydia's House Party...
Scott and Allison found themselves amidst a rowdy crowd of intoxicated youngsters in the dimly lit backyard of a house, their friend Morwen fading into the shadows. The distant sound of "Little Death By The Neighborhood" filled the air, setting the scene.
~Vacancy was lit, the guests were checking in~
Scott, trying to break the awkwardness, asked with a smile, "So, what do you drink?"
Allison returned his smile but shook her head, admitting, "Um... I'm not sure."
Scott's gaze shifted briefly from Allison to scan the surroundings, and he noticed a keg nearby. "Neither am I," he replied. "Perhaps we should give beer a try? Hang on, I'll start the keg."
