Scott apologizes hurriedly, expecting repercussions. "Sorry, sorry!" he exclaims.
"You're just two minutes late," Deaton responds with a smile and a nod.
Scott breathes a sigh of relief. "We didn't want you to think we were slacking. Morwen is here, checking if we need any more supplies," he explains.
"Scott, I believe you're the least slacker kid in town. And the storage unit would be a complete disaster without your brother's organization skills," Deaton praises, still smiling.
Scott's attention drifts away from the conversation. He anxiously gazes past the Dutch door into the reception room. Sheriff Stilinski approaches, his mood and intentions hidden behind his black aviator sunglasses. It feels like the moment when Scott will be taken away. However, a limping German Shepherd appears as the lower half of the Dutch door opens.
