III - "Evaluation"

Kaminari

"YO BAKUBRO!" I yelled, running up to Bakugou who was dressed in his hero-suit, "this looks so fucking cool!"

Bakugou scratched the back of his neck and mumbled a "thanks," Kirishima nudging him with a smile. Bakugou made his way to the side of Mr. Aizawa, handing out the personal training schedules, walking over to his own training area when he was finished, putting his own schedule by his gauntlets on the bench.

I took a deep breath and shot two discs from my support item. I looked over at the notes on the backside of my schedule and read it over out loud, "try to get close and push yourself away from the disc, maybe help yourself sort of go into the air--" I looked over at Bakugou, who was trying to balance himself in the air with his explosions, I bit my lip and sighed, "I guess I can do that..."

I took a deep breath and shook my hands, running towards the discs and jumping onto the one lower on the wall, jumping up from it and aiming a bolt onto it. I tried reaching for the second disc and fell onto the floor under me, groaning and looking up. The wall now had a mark on it, marking the highest point my feet were at.

"Yo! That's cool!" I jumped up to stand and looked over the mark. I looked back onto the page and read it over, "the wall you're working with has something that can mark the last place your feet were so you know when you go higher than before," I smiled and closed my mouth, looking back at the discs. 

I'll have to do this until I get on top of the wall, that's what my assignment is, and I'm not going to fail it.

Shinsou

I watched Kaminari drop face-first onto the floor and chuckled, covering my mouth with my hand. I looked away and slapped my cheeks, staring at the pipe area in front of me. Sero swung past me and turned towards me with a wink, continuing on with his training.

I looked down at my scarf and grabbed it, making it float around me. I threw the scarf over a pipe and pulled myself onto it, crouching on top of the pipe. I dropped down from the pipe and my scarf wrapped around the next one.

I started copying the way Sero moved through the pipes, letting the scarf let go of the pipe and sending it to the next, repeating the two actions over and over until I reached the end of the area, meeting up with Sero, who offered me a water bottle.

I grabbed it and nodded at him as a way to show him I'm thankful.

"You've been practicing during the spring, right?" Sero asked and I nodded, "most of us continued our work-studies so we just did hero work," he took a drink of his water and then nudged his head to make me look at Bakugou, "I'm guessing you two trained together?"

"Yeah, we did," I closed the water bottle and clicked my tongue, "I still can't believe he's been quirkless for 12 years."

Sero chuckled and leaned into the wall behind us, "we have Kirishima to thank for giving him the confidence to work on his quirk."

I nodded and looked at Kaminari who finally managed to get on top of the wall he was training on, "YES!!!" he yelled, Sero and I laughed, hearing some of the other students laugh too, "sorry..." he said before dropping off of the wall, waltzing over to me and Sero.

"Congrats, Denki!" Sero called, punching Kaminari's shoulder after he stood up. He pulled Kaminari into a hug and they patted each other's backs, moving away from one another.

I bit my lip and looked down at the floor.

Why am I feeling jealous? Get yourself together, Hitoshi. You've had this stupid crush for over half a year and it isn't worth the heartbreak. 

Kaminari is openly pansexual, but it doesn't matter. Don't pull yourself in more than you already have, Hitoshi. Don't.

Kaminari pulled away from Sero and pat my head, "Aizawa 2.0," he said and ran away towards Ashido, the two screaming at each other with glee.

I just stared at Kaminari as Sero followed him towards the Bakusquad.
