VI - "Project"

Third Person

Kaminari blinked at the test on his desk, looking at the failing grade.

"Kaminari," Midnight said after she went back onto the podium, "see me after class."

"Shit..." Kaminari said under his breath, the class looking at him for a few seconds and then going back to looking over their own tests and asking Midnight questions.

"Doesn't he study?" Jirou asked Sero as she turned to look at him.

"Of course he does," Sero said a bit angrily at Jirou. Of course he's going to be defensive towards his best friend, especially when another person that said best friend trusts is trying to gossip against him, "do you know how many times when waking him up for school he was sleeping on his desk with textbooks open?"

"Sero, calm down," Ojiro put an hand on Sero's shoulder, Sero following the lion's command, "Kaminari and I have a lot of study sessions and he always keeps studying after too, it's just... I don't know."

Ojiro took his hand off of Sero's shoulder and sighed, Sero continued what he was trying to explain to Jirou, "he has done so much to try and have a better grade, even as first years, but it's like everytime we have a test his brain shuts off."

"He goes out of almost every test fried," Ojiro continued, Sero nodding at his statement, "Jirou you really shouldn't belittle him. He's your friend."

Jirou bit her lip and looked down at her hands, "sorry, I didn't know."

Ojiro kept on his way to Midnight, talking with her about maybe making an extra credit project. Yes, it'll be more work, but it's better for people with a barely passing grade like Kaminari to at least pass.

Midnight hummed and smiled at Ojiro's suggestion, "of course! That's an amazing idea Ojiro, such youth! Such care!" she called, Ojiro smiled at her reaction and made his way back to his desk. "Ojiro has suggested an extra credit group project," Midnight stopped her gaze at Kaminari for a second or two and then kept moving her gaze through the students, "it might help you all get a higher grade in the long run. Of course, I'll have to run it through with Aizawa and Nezu, so I'll give you an update next week."

Kaminari sniffed and smiled softly to himself. Thank you, Arceus.

Kaminari typed on his laptop as Ojiro and Sero shared ideas over the project, typing down their ideas.

"Alright," Kaminari turned the laptop so the two will see his list, "we have a diagram, PowerPoint presentation, Word document, a comic, and an album."

"How would we even do an album?" Ojiro asked and Sero pointed at the electric guitar in Kaminari's room.

"Kaminari can play," Sero pointed out, he pointed at himself, "I can also play the piano," he said with a smile and Ojiro shook his head.

"I don't think making an album about historical events is a good idea," he said simply and Kaminari nodded, deleting the idea.

"Besides, none of us can sing," Kaminari said and moved to mark over the comic idea, "and I don't want to have to draw a whole comic just for a project."

"Why? Don't you like drawing?" Sero asked, Ojiro shook his head and slapped the back of Sero's head with his tail.

"It takes time and comics are hard to make," Ojiro swished his tail and clicked his tongue.

"We can also make a short video instead," Kaminari said, "we'll ask some people to play the characters and we'll make a script."

"So a skit?" Sero asked and Kaminari nodded.

"I think that's a really good idea!" Ojiro called happily and clapped his hands together, "I can ask my sister to let me borrow some of her film equipment."

"She'll probably say yes," Kaminari nodded and deleted the ideas list, writing down their new and decided on idea.

"Let's work on that script then," Ojiro and Sero said at the same time and the three started working on their project.

The video ended and the class cheered, the three students bowed and thanked them, Midnight clapped with the class and stood up.

"That was great you three," she smiled at the three and marked an A+ on her grade list, "Kaminari, I believe this'll boost your average from C to a B+. Good job," she pat the blond's head and told the three to sit down, which they did. "Would it be possible for me to use this video for future classes?"

"Of course!" Kaminari, Sero, and Ojiro called happily at the same time.

"It'll be an honor to have that legacy in UA," Kaminari said as he put a hand over his heart, "obviously next to us being top heroes," he added, the class laughing a bit at his joke, though they all knew it was serious, it was still funny.
