Eri held up her basket filled with eggs to me happily and showed off the drawing she made onto them, "look! This one's a pikachu!" she pointed at it and I chuckled.
I ruffled her hair a bit and took the egg, looking over the sloppy pikachu drawing. You could really tell it was drawn by a child, but it looked really good.
Not as good as what Kaminari draws in class, though. "It's cute Eri, good job," I smiled at my younger sister and she ran off to go paint more eggs with Midoriya and Togata.
She was so happy to be able to celebrate with us, it's quite amazing. Because she's a child though, she had no filter and has asked Togata about his relationship multiple times over, he doesn't mind, but if she did that to me... God... I don't know what I'd do.
"Hey! You're painting eggs without us?!" Kaminari yelled out, Kirishima and Ashido crossing their arms in fake anger. They joined the three and started painting.
Bakugou and Sero broke off from the group, Sero going to help Iida with setting up the decorations and Bakugou making his way to sit next to me.
Bakugou whined as he stretched, taking the remote control on the coffee desk he put his legs up on. "You good?"
"Yeah, just sore," he put on some channel I didn't recognize and lowered the volume, "I've been training so much that I feel like my body is breaking apart."
"You're the schedule maker here," I responded, looking away from the egg painting table and moving my gaze to Bakugou, "yet you make your schedule extra packed."
"I also make Deku's packed," Bakugou points out and glares at Midoriya. He turned his head back to look at me, "we both haven't had quirks until last year, so we need to train the most. It's hard to control, y'know," Bakugou blushed a bit as a thought went through his head and he leaned to whisper me something, "the amount of times I almost blew up Ei is over a hundred at this point."
"Excitement?" I asked, leaning away from him. Bakugou shook his head and then tilted his head to think about it again.
"Uh- yeah, no. Not excitement."
"Gross," I responded with a chuckle. I looked at Eri, her tongue sticking out as she concentrated on her egg, the brush she's holding moving slowly as she tried making smooth lines.
My gaze moved to look at the blond reaching out to grab a slanted brush. He dipped the brush into some yellow paint and started painting the egg with precision and accuracy.
I turned to look at Bakugou, who was staring at his red-haired boyfriend, completely entranced.
"Hey, Bakugou?" I asked, Bakugou moved to look at me and hummed for me to continue, "how does it feel?"
"What do you mean?" Bakugou furrowed his eyebrows and tried to find the meaning of the question in his head and my expression.
"Y'know... Love," I whispered, "how did you know when you were actually in love with Kirishima?"
Bakugou looked at me and moved to look at the carpet, "I don't know..." he whispered, "when he announced we were dating during the sports festival, I guess I just knew."
He smiled softly and started fiddling with his fingers, his eyes moving back and forth as he thought about it.
"It clicked," he looked up at me again and then leaned his head back to look at the ceiling, "even before we started dating I just was always starstruck by him. I guess I just always loved him," he chuckled and his smile widened, "it was just a matter of time before I could say it with knowing he would say it back."
He looked back down and sighed, his smile falling. Bakugou shrugged and scratched the back of his head.
"It's hard to tell," he said finally, "you'll just know, I guess."
I let out a sigh I didn't know I was holding and looked at Kaminari, "right," I stood up from the couch and stretched a bit, "thanks," I gave Bakugou a small thankful look and started walking off to the stairs.
So I guess even people who are in love don't know.
This feeling is so complicated.
