As the darkness of the night soon enveloped the sky, crickets rose and started creating their noise, streets soon lost the people walking around it, leaving clumps of snow on it.
"You can't do that.. Pushing him away Donghee...You can't..", his voice kept pausing as frustration ran through him continuously.
"Mind your own business Donghyuck"
"Why'd you even do that? You think telling him that would make sense?!", Haechan rambled on, brows furrowed close as he glared back at her, "You think he'd be like oh okay then have a nice day? What an idiot"
Daehyun, who just went out of his room to tell their parent's night plans only to be halted by the sight of their fiery gazes against each other.
"Stop acting like I killed him or something! If anything he should thank me!", I shouted back at him.
Why is he over-reacting anyway!?
He sarcastically scoffed in return, "Thank you?Why?Because you rejected him?Or maybe because he knows who his soul's mate is but he can't make the bond?"
"I don't understand why the fuck do you care so much about MY decision when in fact this whole bullshit you call soulmates and the stupid bond shouldn't even be taken so goddamn seriously!"
Finally realizing why, Daehyun gulped down and tried to tone the tension by speaking up, "Mom and dad are on an uh.. da-"
"BECAUSE I UNDERSTAND JENO OKAY!? I'M ALSO EXCITED TO MEET AND BE WITH MY SOUL MATE BUT I CAN'T! WHILE YOU'RE HERE BEING SELFISH!", the loud boom of the eldest's voice scared him, cutting Daehyun's sentence right away.
An audible gasp left her lips paired with eyes large as the full moon, Donghee became speechless at his sudden outburst and the stray tear, she assumed is due to anger that cascaded from his left eye.
"I hate how someone like you who don't even want this bullshit get to have it earlier than I do... I feel sorry for Jeno", and with that, he grudgingly went to his room, harshly slamming the door shut.
"Noona..", Daehyun's voice trailed off, hesitating to start a conversation with Donghee whose head hung low with her fist balled and shaking.
Yet even before he could continue, Donghee stormed out of the house wordless into who knows where.

She sat there, gaze fixated towards the glorious bronzy tint of dusk, her mind's rambling temporarily ceasing due to the fascinating view nature has offered her.
Shoulders visibly shaking due to lack of layered clothes warming her, paired with the fortunately bearable ringing of her head.
"Aren't you cold?"
The swift turn of her head caught the voice's owner by surprise earning a scream from both of them.
"Oh.. It's you", the unknown gleam in her eyes dropped upon seeing that turned out to be somebody else.
Why did I think it was.. nevermind.
"So.. Aren't you cold?", Munhee asked once more to her, as she occupies the open seat next to Donghee. "Here", she added after hearing no response from the older, handing her green wool jacket.
Eyeing the said jacket, Donghee's lips refrain from smiling upon remembering a familiar scene, "Thank you", but regardless she chose to accept the kind offer.
"How are you Munhee?"
"Oh you know.. Better since we first met"
"What about you, did you and that Yang broke up?", Donghee let out a faint scoff upon the mention of the silver-haired boy.
"I guess you can put it that way"
"Is that why you're here trying to freeze to death Donghee?"
Donghee's eyes turned back to Munhee, wondering whether that's what it seemed like she's doing to anyone who'd passby.
"No.. I don't do serious commitments"
"You must be really serious about your soulmate then.."
Caught off-guard by the topic Munhee managed to pick, Donghee remained silent for a while before saying, "What do you think about having soulmates?"
Maybe hearing somebody else's opinion would be better. she thought as she waits for Munhee's answer.
"It's nice to have something.. or someone to live for I guess"
"But don't you think it's stupid?"
Sighing, Munhee shook her head, "With a life I barely want to live?I'll take what I get"

this is a slow burn story so yeah.. taking it quite realistic is my favorite way
