Sams POV
——————
It's been two weeks.
Two great weeks with the gang - Deena, Simon, and Kate. We've mostly been hanging out at Deenas or at the school parking lot - Simon showing off his crazy dance moves - or Kate cracking silly jokes.

Deena though, she and I have mostly listened to music together and laughed at each others silly childhood stories. I really love it here in Shadyside - Shadyside is my home.

Ring Ring Ring Rin-

"Ugh." I smash down the off button on my alarm. It's Friday... Colour War is today.
Kate and Simon has been telling me how awesome it is. While Deena just lets out a groan every time we mention it.

Blue VS Red which means it's Shadyside VS Sunnyvale.
Frankly, I was really excited. In my past hometown we never had activities like this.
I thought it was awesome - having these two towns bond. At least I think they bond, right?

Two hours later I walk into Shadyside high school and an arm wraps around me.

"Deena." I gasp out of shock, nearly jumping out of my skin.

"Hey Sammy."

I chuckle "You can quit calling me that now."

"I think it's a cute nickname." Deena let's out a laugh - taking her arm off of my shoulders.

"Excited for lunch?" I ask, grinning knowing Deena hates this stuff - Colour War starts during lunch.

"Hell no. Sunnyvale always wins, it's like the town has a lucky charm casted over it." Deena says - she hates losing that's mainly why she doesn't like colour war. That and the fact that its 'Shittyside' VS Sunnyvale.

"You're too competitive, it's not about winning." I say in response.

"Well it's boring when we lose all the time." Deena says flustered.

Me and Deena head to our first class - Chemistry. Me and Deena were always partners in that class, which I was excited for.

Deenas POV
———————
We're 30 minutes into Chemistry. I've been doing most of the work - I feel bad.

I hand a scoop over to Sam "Here."

"Deena, I have no clue what I'm doing." She let's out a giggle - cute.

I chuckle - "Just scoop up some potassium permanganate and put it in the water."

I watch as Sam moves her hand towards the water filled flask. Her hands are shaking.

I let out a laugh. "Here, dill weed."
I grab Sams hand and guide the scoop over the flask - the potassium permanganate falling into the hot water.

Sam looks up at me after admiring the purple liquid. "Thanks." Her cheeks are red. Am I making her blush..?

"Yeah." I stare at Sam admiring her and giving her a smile.

Sam snaps out of the gaze

"So what now?" Sam asks - quite curious about the experiment.
"We stir until it turns pink, it has to dilute." I say, passing Sam a spoon. "Just don't drink it."

Sam nudges me and lets out a giggle. "I'm not that stupid."

After an interesting hour of Chemistry and a chill class of English with Simon - it's recess. A 15 minute break after 2 long hours - how generous.
After passing in my English paper - I walk out of the class with Simon. "Dee, I'm so excited for Colour War."

I let out a groan. Not this shit again...

"Simon how is losing to those privileged assholes fun?"

"We sneak around, trying to get the enemies flag! How is that not fun?."

"It's lame." I say - truly annoyed.

Kate gives me a tap on the shoulder - "Hey ladykiller."

"Hey, where's Sam?" I say confused because we're usually all together during recess and lunch.

"She's in P.E. Some blind asshole knocked her over during soccer. She's getting her knee iced. Im fine by the way - thanks for asking." Kate gives me a caring and snarky reply.

"Well is she okay?" I immediately ask.

"Yeah can we still play colour war?!" Simon jumps in.

I give him a light smack on the back of the head. "Doofus."

Kate scoffs

Soon after we see Sam approaching.

"Hey, are you okay?" I ask, wanting Sam to be okay. I don't like it when my friends are hurt. Even if it's just a small bruise.

"Yeah I'm fine." Sam says - pulling out a chocolate bar from her bag.

"Phew Deena thought you died." Simon says jokingly

"I'm not lucky enough for that - I guess I still have to put up with you guys." Sam gives me a smile as the whole group laughs, Sam as well.

Third Person POV
——————————
12:15PM
Finally lunch time - time for the colour war.
They're all in the gym getting the team T-Shirts - all blue of course. Deena grabs 4 blue tees, for the whole gang. Deena makes her way over to Kate, Simon, and her little crush - Sam Fraser.
But of course Deena didn't think she had a crush on Sam, even though Kate and Simon had already figured it out.

"Here guys." Deena passes them their shirts as they head to the locker room to get changed.

So there Kate, Sam, Deena, and a bunch of other girls stand - in the locker room. Kate immediately takes her jacket and shirt off. While Deena faces her locker - not wanting to creep the other girls out, with her being the school 'dyke' and all.
Sam just stands there feeling bad for Deena. But she does have to get changed - she takes her shirt off picking up the blue T-shirt.

Deena with only her bra on feels the urge to look over at Sam, so she does.
Deena never looked at Kate this way...so why Sam? Why is this girl so special? Deena tries putting the pieces together - still looking at Sam as she puts her shirt on.

Sam smiles at Deena - still in her bra. Deena is quick to look away. Blushing like an idiot - her head in her locker.
Little does she know, Sams also looking at her. Her body - her in her bra.
Deena puts on her shirt and groans as she heads to the bus. Time for the game...
