Riker's POV

Three more weeks going strong with Justine... And Liane. I never got around to telling Liane that Justine and I were already an official couple. So here I am dating two girls when I only wanted to date one.

Somehow I have succeed at keeping the two girls away from each other. And so far I have been able to keep both relationships completely separate without any kind of mess ups from me or suspicions from the girls. Obviously there wouldn't be any public display of affection with either girl or that would end in disaster. But there has been display of affection with them both.

Each of them thinks that I'm just friends with the other and they're no worry anymore. I am completely and utterly surprised that I have made these lies believable. And I am surprised that they haven't figured anything out yet.

Despite the sin of cheating on two perfectly innocent girls without meaning to, and hating myself for not being able to figure out how to get out of the situation, my life is pretty good right about now.

"Are you free tonight?" I look up from my book at Liane.

After a moment, I look back down at the page in my book to continue reading. It's Harry Potter and I'm almost done so I don't feel like being interrupted. I continue reading, ignoring the stare I am receiving from the girl in front of me.

"Riker." Her hand waves in front of my face but I continue reading. Right now it is study hall so I decided to restart the book series again. Man, this is a great series. Harry Potter is the best. I take a deep breath and turn the page, pretending she isn't there. I know I'm being a jerk right now but I don't feel like dealing with her at the moment. I will not look up.

"Come on Riker!" She whines a little, causing me to finally look up at her again. So much for not looking up at her.

"What do you want? I'm trying to enjoy my free period." I ask. The corners of her mouth curve downwards into a deeper frown.

"Why are you ignoring me?" she asks, letting my little attitude toward her pass.

I shrug. "I'm not ignoring you. I am just trying to enjoy this book," I reply flatly.

"Okay, then I wanted to know if you're doing anything tonight."

I open my mouth to answer her question but the bell rings. "Well that is my signal to go to class. I don't want to be late. It was nice talking to you," I smile at her, standing up. I step aside to walk out the school library but her hand on my chest stops me from moving any further. I look at her and she looks back at me.

"Let's walk together," she suggests.

"Fine," I give in. She nods in approval as we start to walk to English class together.

"Are you free tonight?" She asks me again and I sigh.

"Why do you care?"

"What, are you doing something with someone else? With that sophomore girl? Are still friends with her?" She asks, not answering the question I asked her. We make our way to our seats.

"Who?" I ask her, trying to act stupid. Of course I know who she's talking about. I'm just avoiding the question again. I get out the assignment written on the board.

"You know who. Justine. Do you still hang out with her or not?" I don't answer her, focusing on the first question. She rolls her eyes. "If you're not friends with her, why don't you just straight up say it?" I slam my pencil down on the desk making her jump.

"Will you just shut up about it? It's really getting annoying. Who cares if I'm friends with her or not? What does it matter? It's not like it's your business anyway," I suddenly burst. She stares at me shocked and I shake my head apologetically. "Sorry. I didn't mean to explode like that."
