Justine's POV
The trees and buildings pass by as the car makes its way down the long road. I stare out the window watching the scenery and listening to the radio faintly playing in the background. Riker has been driving me some place for maybe ten minutes now but not much has been said.

"So I've been meaning to ask," Riker suddenly starts conversation, "how long have you been into music?"

"I've been playing guitar since I was six. My Grandpa taught me. You?"

"That's cool. And gosh, I've been in love with music for as long as I can remember. The best parts were the mini concerts in the basement back out in Colorado," Riker chuckles as he recalls the memory.

I just nod, the car going quiet again until he pulls up into a parking space. I look at our surroundings to see we are at a recreational park. I look over at him questioningly and he just shrugs, popping the trunk and getting out of the car.

"Mind if I play you a song?" he asks, smiling a little nervously, showing me a guitar case in the trunk.

A small smile crosses over my face. "Play whatever you want."

"Cool," he sighs with relief, relaxing a little. He takes the guitar and leads me over to the empty swing set. I sit in one of them as he proceeds to take his instrument from its case before taking his own seat.

"What are you going to sing?" I ask.

"Oh, just a little somethin." I receive a smirk and he starts to play a few chords to get the feel of the guitar. Then he starts to sing. Man, I never realized how perfect his voice really was until now. Well I've heard R5 songs. But this is live singing, up close. Amazing!

"I don't know what you're up to. But baby I see me and you, walking round through the town always. We can sail around the sea. No one else, just you and me lay in the sand, holding hands. Always."

Riker locks his eyes with mine as he sings. My cheeks go red in embarassment. I can't believe this. He actually spent his time to write a song for me? He smirks, continuing to sing and strum the guitar.

"'Cause I'll wait so long for you to tell me you love me too. I hope I'm not too late to see your face, to tell the time. Stop asking questions and make up your mind. Let me take you out. Baby don't be shy. Just come with me darling and we can fly wherever you wanna go. And I'll always hold you close. Always.

"Girl I'm yours forever more. My friends may ask but I am sure I'll be right here for you my dear, alway. No one can keep me away. I'm for real, I'm here to stay. I'll be your man, understand, always."

I take a deep breath, listening closely to the words. This song is just perfect. I feel the corners of my lips curl upwards as Riker's voice calls out those clever, sweet, and wonderful words. I have a feeling on what all this is about.

"'Cause I waited so long for you to tell me you love me too. I hope I'm not too late to see your face, to tell the time. Stop asking questions and make up your mind. Let me take you out. Baby don't be shy. Just come with me darling and we can fly wherever you wanna go. And I'll always hold you close. Always."

There's a huge grin on his face as he strums the guitar. I find a sparkle in his eyes when he sings the lyrics. And I can tell he is so passionate about music. About this.

"I'll be everything you need. My love is so strong. Don't pretend like you don't know I've been here all along. Girl I'll wait so long for you to tell me you love me too. I hope I'm not too late..

"Girl I promise I will wait." The boy makes a dramatic pause, cutting of his playing and singing. His eyes don't leave mine and gives a quick wink before beginning the song again.
