When we both had walked away from the relationship we shared, I thought I'd only miss you when the night fell.
But everywhere I go, I seem to find you. I miss you in the broad daylight, I miss you in the sultry shades of dusk. It's weird to miss the person who didn't even wait for you. Do you miss me anymore, my sunshine?
I still remember how you used to incorporate at least a splash of yellow in your daily outfits even though you didn't like it.
"Why do you always wear a bit of yellow even though you don't like it?" I had asked.
You had smiled. "I wear it because you like it."
I have observed that you don't wear yellow anymore. But sunflowers still remind me of you. And they're still my favorite.
