RUHI

The sky is totally dark blazing with a few stars but it's not sufficient to remove the darkness. As much as I am trying to proceed on my way ,the darkness is engulfing me and surrounding more. My mind is not working as my only focus is on the child walking infront of me. He is a little boy around 3 years, his hairs r curly and he is gigging constantly which is attracting me to go towards him and take him in my arms pinching his cheeks.

"Come on , come on, catch me..."

He again shouted while running little away from me when I let out a yelp of amusement. "Don't go there, my little boy. I will give u a lot of chocolates."

I bent on my knees sitting on the ground and opened my arms indicating him to come and hug me. He grinned widely before coming to me taking myself in his little yet the most comforting embrace.
I caressed his hair while drawing soothing circles on his back.

"Where is your mummy ,my dear boy ?"
I asked breaking the hug to cup his cheek.

"Mummy!" He emphasized the word putting his little palm under his chin pretending to think. I raised my eyebrows to see his cute antics and chuckled in my mind.

"Here" He pointed at me when I looked at him confusingly.

"Umm...mmm...what r u saying dear?"

"U r my mummy "

He said and wrapped his hands around my neck when I got shocked and hugged him back. Leaving my thoughts aside, I picked him up and started walking again.

Suddenly, he slipped out of my arms and started running away.

"No, no, baby ,wait. Let me come. " I too ran behind him. He was only laughing as his sound of laughter echoed through the empty place. I too was giving him company in his laughing session. I was chasing and he was also running as fast as possible with his slow steps.

"Mummy, u r being slower. Come fast otherwise u would lose me. "

This sentence made me halted on my way as I felt my heart beating fast and a tear left from my eyes.
