«Carry on Wayward Son» starts playing on the camp's speakers. Color War started, I walk around the camp and see the kids getting ready. Shadyside with the blue shirts and blue paint and Sunnyvale with the red shirts and red paint. I smile at the vision, I hate Sunnyvale but these kind of games with them can be really fun, even if we lose like...Every single year.

"Do not let them anywhere near this. Do you hear me?" Kurt says to the Sunnyvale kids while holding the red flag. The kids shout. "I said do you hear me?" He yells and the kids start shouting again, I don't like him that much but he's a great leader, I can see that. The Shadyside group was algo getting ready, all shouting «Shadyside» and chanting.

"Alright, alright, alright!" Tommy interrupts them. "Now remember, keep at least three defenders by this all the time. Alright? And who's the jailer?" He asks and Jeremy raises his hand. "Okay Jeremy, you may be the most important player in the, uh...in the..." He starts zoning out again and groaning.

"Tommy." I call him and he snaps out again.

"Are you okay?" Cindy asks him.

"Yeah, are you okay Mr.Slater?" Jeremy asks too.

"Yeah, I'm...I'm good. Why don't you guys get started? Go plant the flag. Alright? And I'll be right behind you. Okay?" He says and starts clapping. "Let's go Shadyside! Come on!" He continues and the kids start shouting again, preparing themselves for the game. "Oh man. My head is throbbing, even after those pills."

"You should get that checked out." I suggest.

"You need to lie down?" Cindy asks him.

"No, no. I'm alright." He reassures her.

"Good, I need your guys help. And the keys to the infirmary." She looks at both of us.

.-.

As soon as dark hits, me, Cindy and Tommy went to the infirmary. She didn't really tell us why she wanted to go there but we really didn't want to go against her. Cindy Berman can be really scary sometimes...As she opens the infirmary door we slowly step inside, seeing no one there.

"So, what exactly are we looking for?" I ask her.

"Answers." She replies giving me the keys.

"Oh come on Cindy, it doesn't matter. Alright?" Tommy says.

"It matters." Cindy replies. "There's a reason why Mary did what she did and said what she said. And we're going to figure it out now."

"But why are we here exactly?" I ask again.

"Because probably she was onto something." Cindy replies.

"Something?" I frown confused.

"Drugs." She replies.

"Come on, Cindy. Please I.." Tommy says but doesn't finish because she turned her back on him and went to Mary's office. I follow her and see her going through the drawers on the desk, trying to find something.

"No label. Half-empty." She chuckles as she holds a bottle of pills in her hand."Like I said, she was on drugs." She continues. Cindy is probably right, she could be on drugs because the things she talked that day really did make no sense and as a former addict she really did seem strange. "We just have to get these to the cops, and they'll tell us what they.." She stops talking when she sees Tommy taking Mary's book from the desk. "What are you doing?"

"A deal was made with the devil." Tommy quotes. I lean against him, looking at the book. "Sarah Fier cut off her wicked hand on Satan's stone in exchange for eternal life, scarring the soil beneath with the witch's mark, bringing darkness upon the land." He looks at both of us kinda freaked out. Suddenly we hear glass breaking, me and Cindy look at each other uneasily and I tell her to stay behind me.

"Did you hear that?" Tommy asks. He slowly walks out of the office, looking at the place to see what caused the sound with me and Cindy following him from behind. "Hello?" He calls but no one responds. "Hello, is somebody in there?" He asks but again, no response. Cindy grabs my hand firmly, I could feel her shaking a little.

"Argh!" Alice appears out of nowhere scaring Tommy.

"Jeez! Come on that's not funny." He complains, and Arnie appears out of nowhere too.

"Alice? What are you doing here?" Cindy asks her and Alice scoffs.

"Well, looks like we're both here for the same thing." She responds and points at the unlabelled bottle in Cindy's hand. "You must really want me to scrub those toilets." She jokes.

"This isn't for you." Cindy says.

"Whoa Berman. I didn't know you were into that kind of thing." Arnie says looking at her.

"They're not for me. I'm giving it to the cops." She responds.

"Oh yeah, the cops. Yeah right, of course." Alice says. "No, what are you talking about? What, now you're gonna snitch on Mary too?" She raises her voice at Cindy, I look at her pissed.

"She's not snitching, she's just giving an explanation for what Mary did." I intervene, but before Alice responds Arnie suddenly grabs Mary's book from Tommy's hand.

"This is for the cops too?" He asks.

"Give that back!" Tommy tries to take the book but Arnie throws it to Alice.

"She emerged by the Meeting House, one hand severed, lost forever. We hanged the witch, body chained and buried but without her hand, her grip on the land holds firm. Ooh!" She reads and laughs. "This is Sarah Fier shit!"

"Alice, come on." I say and try to grab the books but swings me off.

"When she is near, blood will fall and the curse will last until body and hand unite." She continues reading.

"Alice, it's Mary's diary. Let's put it back." Cindy says.

"It's not just a diary." Alice says, while Arnie is on her side. "It's a map." She continues and she turns around Mary's book, showing us a map of the camp.

"What?" Cindy asks confused.

"Crazy Nurse Lane made a crazy map." Alice says, while kneeling beside the infirmary's bed, putting the book on it. "It's camp, but looks like she drew all over it." She says and point to a part on the map. "1666 Union."

"Union? That's Shadyside." I say kneeling too, staying beside Cindy.

"What?" Alice asks.

"I mean the settlement before it was divided into Shadyside and Sunnyvale." I continue explaining.

"Really?" She asks shocked.

"If you went to class.." Cindy says rolling her eyes in frustration.

"So, the camp is built in the same place as the settlement?" Tommy asks and I look at him nodding.

"Whoa look, look, look!" Arnie points out in the map. "Sarah Fier!" He points to a place in the map called Sarah Fier.

"Do you think that's her house?" Alice asks smiling wickedly.

"What are all the X's?" Arnies asks.

"There's only one way to find out." Alice responds and I look at her confused. She suddenly grabs the book and Cindy's bag, getting up.

"Hey! That's my bag!" Cindy calls out.

"Arnie, flashlight." Alice says and Arnie grabs the flashlight at the top of the shelf. I quickly get up and follow them outside, what the fuck are they doing?

"Alice! Bring that back!" Cindy yells, following me outside too. "What are you doing?"

"It's called fun, Cindy Berman. You used to have it, remember?" Alice responds. "We're gonna find you Sarah Fier!" She yells while running, I sigh in frustration.

"Tommy." Cindy calls him but he doesn't respond. I look at him and he's distracted, probably zoning out again.

"Tommy!" I call for him and he snaps back to reality.

"Come on, they took everything!" Cindy complains and we run towards them.
