Adaora heard wailing emanating from within the house. She had just come back from the market that morning to buy some foodstuffs and was approaching the house when she heard wailing and shouting coming from within the house.
"Who is shouting? That sounds like sister's voice o. Isn't mama around?"
She immediately rushed inside to meet her sister lying face down, clutching to her stomach.
"Sister!"Adaora screamed out in fear as she beheld the sight before her. She dropped the polythene bags of foodstuffs and she ran towards rebecca who kept on wincing in pain and crying."Sister what happened to you now?"Adaora asked as hot fat tears rolled down her cheeks.
"Mama!"Adaora called out as a wave of panic coursed through her body but she got no response but the echo of her voice.
"What will i do? What did you do to yourself!?"Adaora asked panicking.
Suddenly she spotted a hypo container lying close to Becca.
Immediately she saw it, she let out a shriek that filled the entire room.
"Sister!!! Did you drink this?"Adaora asked as she cried bitterly"If i don't get Nonso.....I'll kill myself"Rebecca breathed out heavily as she winced in pain, clutching to her stomach tightly.
Adaora immediately stood up, shocked by how far her sister would go to get her lover.
"Sister wait I'm coming please. Let me get Nonso "she cried out as she ran out of the house, Rebecca's wailing still resounding in her ears.****************
AMARACHII took out a stainless plate from the plate basket ,rinsing it with water.
I began dishing food into it.
God i never had rest in this house.
"Amarachi"aunty Lydia called out to me as she approached me in the kitchen.
I raised my face up and greeted her at once.
"You are dishing food. Anyways I won't be coming to the shop today so i expect you to go to the shop as fast as possible"aunty Lydia said with a glare.I nodded my head at her and wanted to continue dishing out food but she hissed at me.
"Aunty did i do anything?"I asked confused.
"Enemy of progress! I know you wanted my shop to be taken away from me but your plan failed! Witch! Just like your mother! Both of you hate seeing other people succeed"aunty Lydia lashed out at me before walking away.Really?
"I am the last person to wish that her shop be taken away from her? Why does she hate me this much"
Tears welled up in my eyes as I thought of the harsh words she spoke to me.
I would never wish bad upon aunty Lydia. I was the last person to wish such upon her.
She had wronged me alot but i still craved for the day she would accept me as her daughter.I really don't know why they treat me like an outsider.
I wiped my tears with the back of my palm and continued dishing out food.

"Mum you are so funny"Nonso said in between laughs as he talked with his mother,Blessing.
They were sitting outside their house, having that son-to-mother discussion.
"Hmm you don't know anything o. Back in my days....."Mrs Blessing's voice trailed off as she spotted Adaora running into their compound crying."Bia Nonso isnt that Adaora, Becca's sister? Why is she crying?"
Nonso stood up immediately and ran towards Adaora who broke down onto Nonso the moment she was close to him."Adaora what is the problem? Why are you crying?"Nonso asked immediately.
"My..my..becca..She.. She.. she is dying!"
Adaora couldn't even utter the statement well. She loved her elder sister so much and she was shaking uncontrollably.Nonso's eyes widened as fear gripped him.
"What! How?""Chineke! Dying ke!?"Mrs Blessing exclaimed.
"She said...if..if..if...if.."Adaora kept on stuttering, unable to control her tears that stained her cheeks.
"Calm down please. Let's go quickly!" Nonso ran inside to get his car keys immediately. Seconds later he came out with his car keys, opening the doors for both his mother and Adaora as they zoomed off.

AMARACHII opened the iron burglary in aunty Lydia's shop and proceeded to open the second door.
A deep sigh escaped my lips once i entered inside the shop.
I began my routine of sweeping and arranging the shop.
Once that was done I stepped inside aunty Lydia's office, bringing out the heap of materials, waiting to be sewed.
"God!" I groaned out in frustration.
I was overworking myself and i never got appreciated for what i did.I didn't want to waste any more time. I sat down to begin my work.
I glanced at the time. It was 9 in the morning. Probably if I was lucky I would finish sewing some clothes early. An hour passed and the only sound that could be heard in the shop was the sound of my sewing machine, filling the entire shop.
Suddenly i heard footsteps by the doorway. I looked up to see Chikaima, smiling at me.
"Chikaima good morning" I said with a smile.
I stood up to offer him a seat and went back to my spot, sitting opposite him."Amara I am always meeting you working. Don't you get tired?"He asked teasingly.
"No o. I love this sewing work. I don't get tired"i said with a chuckle.
Seeing him made me happy. Ever since he saved me from aunty Lydia, I always felt happy and safe whenever he was with me.
He gazed at me and i couldn't help the burning sensation in my cheeks.I tried covering my cheeks with my right hand as I averted my gaze from him.
"Don't do that"Chikaima whispered."Do what?"I furrowed my brows at him.
He leaned closer to me,"Don't cover your beautiful smile. I love seeing you smile"he admonished.
God my cheeks felt so flushed.
I nodded my head shyly.
"Amarachi you are so talented you know. Have you ever thought of going further in this fashion work?"I stared at him, perplexed.
"I don't understand"He shrugged his shoulders and smirked at me.
"Amara have you ever thought of going to America to further your fashion work?"
