"Amara why are you staying behind. Will you come on walk osisor!"Lydia growled at Amarachi who looked so pale.
Amarachi used a part of her dress to dab her eyes, trying to restrain the fat tears that won't stop flowing."Mama this girl isn't walking fast o. We have to go meet Mrs Justice quickly and explain to her Amarachi!"Ogechi chirped in as she eyed a distressed Amara.
Amarachi couldn't hear their taunts, everything felt non-existent to her. She was lost in her own world of sorrow and anguish.
Her eyes were swollen from crying and her eyebags could be clearly seen.
She dragged her feet as they all walked to Mrs Justice's house.Lydia hissed loudly and went over to Amarachi, roughly pulling her to the front.
"Idiot! Instead of you to quicken your pace you are slowing us down. I dont blame you. You just foolishly ruined the fabric. Useless orphan!"Lydia scoffed.Amarachi felt so lifeless and pale. She couldn't even speak up in her defence. She just succumbed to Lydia's taunt and allowed Lydia drag her to Mrs Justice's house.
It didn't take long for them to reach Ada's house.
Once inside the compound, Ogechi couldn't contain her joy.
She kept on grinning from ear to ear like a baby who was given candy.
"Ogechi compose yourself o. Not like last time"Lydia advised.
Ogechi nodded her head and gave her mum a thumbs up sign."And as for you"Lydia began turning to face Amara who still looked pale.
She glared at Amara.
"Will you come on knock on the door! Should i tell you everything!"Amarachi reluctantly knocked on the door. Seconds later, the door swung open by Jordan who initially looked delighted to see Amara but was taken aback by her cold demeanour.
"Goodmorning everyone. Amara...what's wrong with you? You look...have you been crying?"Jordan asked as he let all three of them into the house.
Ogechi and Lydia sat down, glaring at Amara who sat opposite them.Amara didn't respond, she kept on being quiet and kept her gaze downcasted.
"Amarachi what's wrong?"Jordan asked as he went over to sit by her after locking the door."Did something happen to her?"Jordan immediately added as he turned to face Lydia and Ogechi.
"Ehm Jordan as you can see there's a problem"Lydia began speaking.
"It will be better we tell your mother"Ogechi chirped in.Jordan nodded his head and went upstairs to get his mother.
Few seconds later, Nicole came down stairs holding her laptop.
Immediately she spotted Amarachi, Ogechi and Lydia, she let out a loud hiss which attracted the attention of Lydia and Ogechi as they both simultaneously turned back."Goodmorning o"Lydia said with a grin.
Nicole rolled her eyes and walked towards the dinning table leaving Lydia embarrassed."Who is this stupid girl and what is wrong with her?"Ogechi whispered to her mother as she was visibly irritated by Nicole's rudeness.
"Abeg she is not our concern. We aren't here for her so forget her"Lydia advised.
Ogechi reluctantly listened whilst trying to calm her nerves down."Goodmorning"Mrs justice greeted, coming down stairs with Jordan following her.
"Ada welldone o"Lydia replied with a broad smile.
"Goodmorning ma"ogechi sang beaming with smiles."Goodmorning m..ma"Amarachi quietly muttered.
"I didn't expect you to be here this early. I guess you must really be excited to show me your work"Ada said.
Lydia chuckled.
"There's a problem o ada"
Amarachi braced up for this moment. She knew Lydia would be so happy this happened to her.
