JORDAN
I twisted and turned on my bed. I felt so restless. I immediately opened my eyes and sat up straight.
The sounds of the thunder rumbling made me more anxious.
It felt like something bad was about to happen---or had happened.I couldn't sleep.
I couldn't stop thinking of Amarachi.
My mind was in disarray.
Why was my case in love always different?
Why? Why couldn't I just keep someone I was in love with in my life?
My heart was thumping so fast and my hands became so sweaty, I had to stand up and get myself water.
I poured myself water from the water dispenser.Something was wrong.
Something felt amiss.
Amarachi.
I picked up my phone immediately, dialing her number.
It didn't go through.I hissed in annoyance and tried calling again.
Probably it was just network.
It went to voicemail.
"Hello Amarachi please I'm sorry. I'm sorry for causing you pain. I want you here with me please. I know it isn't easy but please don't leave me please I'm begging you. I love you"I cried out.
I cut the call and hoped she would recieve the message.Something is wrong.
I don't know what it is but I didn't feel quite alright.
I wanted to hear Amarachi's voice.
I just feel so restless.
Why am I feeling so anxious?"Amarachi I just want to hear your voice why aren't you picking?"
I slumped on the bed and tried going back to sleep.
But the sleep wouldn't just come.
Something is wrong with my Amarachi.
I can't fathom it but I definitely knew something was amiss.* * * * * * * * * *
Lydia woke up with a bright smile on her face.
She strutted outside and met Ogechi sweeping the compound.
"Good morning my beautiful daughter"Ogechi looked up and spotted her mother smiling from ear to ear.
"Mama goodmorning o. You look so happy"she complimented."Why won't I be? Finally Amarachi is gone forever"Lydia chirped.
Ogechi let out a laugh.
"I'm really happy to be honest. Finally we will have peace. Let her go meet her dead mother. Let us have peace. Now i can focus on getting Jordan mama"Lydia nodded her head at Ogechi.
"Exactly. Jordan is the next person on the list. Amarachi is now gone. The road is clear. It doesn't seem like he even likes Nicole so the road is very clear. You just have to behave just like Amarachi"Ogechi giggled and dropped the broom. She went over to her mum and hugged her which caught Lydia off guard.
"Mama thank you so much. You promised I'll get the spot and now look I have it and I know I'll also get Jordan. I feel so happy to be honest"Lydia pulled Ogechi in for another embrace.
"As long as am alive I'll always make sure my daughter gets what she wants. Jordan inclusive. Next is to take Nicole out"
A smirk curved by the corner of their lips.
"That proud brat. She thinks she owns everything. I'll snatch Jordan from her right under her nose"Ogechi sneered.Lydia admired her daughter. She had succeeded in making her daughter as self centred and wicked as she was.
"That's my girl. Nicole is time for you to go too"Lydia scoffed.* * * * * * *
"Mum where are you heading to?"Jordan asked once he saw his mum coming down stairs with her purse.
"I'm just going to see Amara"she replied with a faint smile.
"I want to follow you"He immediately requested.
Mrs Justice raised her brows at him.
"Stay and keep Nicole company my dear""No it's not a problem mummy. I can even join you guys"Nicole suggested as she stood up from the sofa she was seated on.
Jordan grimaced at her.
He didn't like the fact that she was coming but Amarachi was the one on his mind right now. He was too preoccupied to object Nicole.
