Chapter 19 Pitty

(Red's POV)

Karen staired into my eyes and frowned

I knew well my decision would be and I wasn't going to change it

"I don't know, I think it's because I'm Lenny's sister. He feels pitty for me, because of what my father did" I told her

"Pitty?" She asked me

I nodded my head

"I see" she said

When she didn't continue, I took a deep breath and smiled once more

"Good luck Karen" I told her

She looked into my eyes and knew that I was referring to her illness

She nodded her head and turned her back in me

I waited until she was completly out of sight, to turn around and go on my own path

I walked for a few miles and then caught Christopher's scent

Just like Karen had said, he was waiting for me, in a blue car

He walked out of the car and opened the door for me

"Thank you" I smiled at him

He bowed his head and held the door open for me

I got into the car and watched him close the door and walk around the car

He started up the car and pulled away

I turned my head slightly and watched as the woods became smaller and smaller, until they dissapeard

The whole time we drove, we maintained the silence between us

It's not like either of us were itching to spark up a conversation

The silence was a comfortable one

We drove for about an hour, before he finally pulled into an old run down motel

He parked the car in the parking lot and look of his seat belt

He didn't get out of the car though, he turned his body towards mine and faced me

"Why are you doing this?" He asked me

"What?"

"Why are you leaving like this?" He clarified

It took my a moment, but I answered

"Because...the lives of the people I love are in danger because of me" I said

"You love the alpha?" He asked me

I couldn't answer him

"You see, I've been thinking about you..." I raised my right eyebrow at him "not in a wierd way, just the way you and the alpha act around eachother. The way your eyes linger a little longer then what's normal. The way he reacted when you were hurt. The way he is willing to choose you over his wife and I think I know why" he said to me

I stayed silent, looking into his eyes

Could he really know?

Christopher's eyes seemed to soften

"You're his mate...aren't you?" He asked me

Once again, I didn't answer

"Don't worry, you don't have to say anything. There is no point in denying it. I understand why you are doing what you are doing, but don't you think that maybe Julian could help" he asked me

"Julian nearly got killed, by something that I made. You don't know the horrible things I've done, without even knowing that I was doing it. Ive fucked uo enough lives, excluding my own" I told him

"The alpha diserves to know where his mate is and the pack deserves their Luna" he told me

"They have a Luna, they have Karen" I informed him

Christopher chuckled, dryly, shaking his was

"Karen is a wonderful person, but when she is angry, she makes stupid and irrational decisions" he told me

"I know you are trying to help, but remember who she is to you" I told him

If he were to say this to anyone who had any loyalty tise to Karen, he would be punshed for treason

"Don't worry, my sister won't do anything to me" he told me

"Your sister?" I asked him

"Half sister to be exact" he told me

"I see"

"Look, I love her, I really do, but she is not the Luna, she never was. You have to come back with me" he said, looking down at me

I staired into his eyes and saw the determination behind his glance

"I'm sorry, but I won't" I said to him

"I'm sorry, but the alpha has to know" he said to me

"No! You will not say a word to Julian about this, do you hear me?" I asked him,
sternly

"But-"

"I said no!" I called out

Christopher nodded his head

I looked into his brown eyes and I sighed

"I'm sorry, I really am. I wish there were another way" I told him

He looked down at his hands and nodded

"May we meet again, Luna" he told me

I smiled and nodded my head

I remember that was an old saying they said, after departing from another one of their pack members

"May we meet again" I said and got out of the car

Money in hand, I closed the door behind me and walked towards my room

I looked out the window, but Christopher was already gone

I took a deep breath and turned around

I was once again alone, engolfed by the painful silence that was my life

(Christopher's POV)

I pulled out of the parking lot of the motel and took out my phone

It was true, I was giving an order from my Luna

But this was bigger than both her and I

These were the lives of two people who were meant to be with on another

Who the hell was I to deny fate?

I dield in the number and waited

He picked up on the second ring

"Hello" his voice rang through the line

"Alpha Julian...I have some information, that will interest you" I said
