Chapter 3 Pretty Woman

(Red's POV)

We kept walking, until we came to a large kitchen

A pretty woman with brown hair was standing by the sink, washing some dishes. I recognized her from all the pictures that decorated the walls down my hall

"Hey mom" Winter and Oliver said, both walking on either side of her and kissing her cheek, sweetly 

"Boys!" She sounded pleasantly surprised "you're still up?" She asked, not turned around

"Yeah, where is dad?" Winter asked

"He just left, 2 minutes ago with your cousin, Greg. They went to the store real quick" she said, turning the sink off and turning around

Wow, she was pretty, beautiful even

She had icy blue eyes and and long brown hair. She didn't look older than 24 or 25

"Oh. Mom, this is Ella Mattin" Oliver smiled, down at me

"Lenny's sister?" she asked, drying her hands on a rag that hung over her shoulder 

"Hello, Luna" I smiled, bowing my head 

She giggled, shaking her head 

"Oh honey! None of that... just call me Karen" she smiled, brightly up at me 

She laughed, but her laugh turned into uncontrollable coughing. It slowly got louder and louder, until it finally stopped

"Are you alright?" I asked her, holding onto her arm

I looked over to Winter and Oliver, who looked as if they've seen it millions of times before 

"Don't worry, I'm okay" she smiled at me, straightening up

"Well, you've met my mom, and us, the only people you need to meet are my dad and Greg" Winter said

I nodded my head and smiled at him

"Okay, then you can meet them in a little bit" Oliver told me, looking at his mom and placing another kiss on her forehead 

"For now, let's make you something to eat and then we can watch a movie" Winter smiled and walked around me

"Oh no. I'm alright, I don't want to bother you all" I said to them, leaning back on the kitchen counter 

"Ella, you are going to be living here from now on, it's no bother" Karen promised me, turning on the sink and washing her hands

"Okay" I giggled "Please let me help you" I said, walking next to her

She smiled and nodded her head

We stood side by side, smiling and talking to each other

About an hour passed and everyone was still up. We had made our way over to the living room, watching a random movie that Oliver had flipped to

I could tell that Karen was getting tired. She was starting to close her eyes and began yawning repeatedly 

In less then an hour, everyone had started to go to sleep and I was the only one awake

The Alpha and the person who was my mate, were not back yet. It was now 2:00 in the morning 

Winter was on my left, Oliver on my right and Karen was sitting on the couch with her dog, Spot on her lap

I had come to the realization that Karen was sick. She was very sick and she wasn't getting any better 

In the time that I had sat down, she had coughed so many times, that I could literally predict when she was going to cough next. Karen had taken about seven different pills, before eating her sandwich and then an hour later, threw it right up

When I turned to look at Winter and Oliver, they just shrugged, like they were used to it. Like it was the most normal thing they had ever seen 

"Don't worry" Oliver said and turned his attention back to the TV screen

If they were acting like this, then I assumed that it had been going on for a long time, but now Karen was fast asleep

Even in her sleep, she looked as if she was were in pain. Eyes clamped tightly, mouth perched, and body stiff 

Winter had his legs draped over my lap, as Oliver laid his head on my shoulder

Because I was a wolf, my body heat was high. Plus two more, soon to be Alphas and the heat radiating off of them,  was crazy hot 

I felt like I was in an oven and I couldn't move

I didn't want to wake them. Unlike their mother, they looked peaceful and whole

Without making any noise, I slowly moved Oliver's head and placed a pillow in my shoulders place

I also moved Winter's legs and quickly pulled over the lazy boy chair and extended his legs onto it

Quickly and quietly, I hopped over all the blankets and chairs, taking the empty cartons of ice cream and bowls of popcorn with me

I washed all the dirty dishes and place them back in the correct location

Once I was completely done, I washed my hands and headed back to the living room

I could tell Karen was cold, so I grabbed a blanket and place it over her small body. Her face slowly relaxed. She nuzzled closer to Spot

She was beautiful compared to me

I smiled when I saw her pained expression, calm down into comfort

I backed up and then collided into someone else

Oh my God
