4. Benny's Burgers

7th November 1983, 8:47 am

ELEVEN'S POV

I watched as Sev walked off into the distance, making a trail as she walked so that she could return to me at any given moment. I was so thankful to her, without her I would not be here, free. Infact, for all I know, I might be dead. All I knew for certain was that we needed each other.

Time skip - 7th November, 9:39 am

It's been almost an hour since Sev left. It's starting to lightly drizzle, which worries me a bit. If this rain doesn't stop soon, it might clear her tracks. I decide not to risk it and followed the tracks that Sev had left in case they washed away with the rain.

After about 15-20 minutes of trekking through bushland a long and unclear path, I came to a halt. I couldn't see the path anymore, behind or in front of me. I was lost, with no way of knowing if Sev was near or close to me. I noticed my heart beating faster as I ran in the direction I was already facing, hoping that I was following Sev's path. Before long, well more like 8 minutes of running, I came to a clearing. There were roads and buildings... maybe one had food! It had been almost 16 hours since I had eaten something, by now I was starving.

I walk through the front door of 'Benny's Burgers'. I didn't know what burgers were... and I didn't know who Benny was, but I could smell the food as soon as I stepped foot inside, so I knew I was in the right place.

I hesitantly make my way through an empty room into a room full of food. Immediately, a small basket of small yellow sticks I knew to be chips stood out to me. I ran over and started digging in, occasionally looking up to see if anyone was looking. After getting a small feeding, I heard someone shout "Hey!" and I instantly grabbed the basket of chips, and tried to run out the front door.

Before I could make it outside, someone caught me and spun me around. I whimpered as I dropped the chips I was holding and looked them in the eye. "What the hell..." he said, clearly questioned by my appearance.

Time skip - 7th November, 10:10 am

ELEVEN'S POV

"Whoever it is, I'll tell 'em to go away real quick," Benny said, and yes the person who caught me was Benny. He introduced himself to me whilst trying to get me to talk.

I see him walk up to the door and talk to someone for a while. Why hasn't the person left yet? I don't have a clue. But before I could ponder this anymore, Benny and the female guest started to make their way inside, walking in my general direction. This scared me a bit, I didn't trust Benny, let alone someone I didn't know. But wait...

I do know this person, and I certainly do not trust them.

Before I could wrap my head around it, Benny turned around to apologize to the lady for something but before he could say much, he was shot, and the person who shot him stared me down and sends two guards chasing after me. I drop the tub of ice cream I was eating and ran to the back door. Before I could get out, the two guards caught up to me, holding me back by my arms.

This wasn't going to get in my way of freedom though, so I concentrated on making them fall to the ground in their own pool of blood and they did just that. With this, I spared no time making my way to the woods where I had come from, hiding from the bad men.

Oh Sev, where are you? I really need you at a time like now...
