After Ned Stark's execution, Eve Stark his eldest daughter, and Sansa were in mourning. The two sisters had not seen each other for days, both of them trapped in their respective chambers.Eve sat, thinking about her father's head rolling down the steps. In fact, it was a recurring nightmare. Each night she dreamt about the same thing. When she woke, the manner of her lord father's death was always on her mind. She seemed to think of nothing else.It always brought chills down her spine and it also made her feel nauseous.Nothing could make me recover from this, she thought.Nothing.Perhaps nothing could make Eve forget about what Joffrey and the Lannisters had done to her father.Perhaps the only way she would feel even a tad better would be to exact revenge upon Joffrey and Cersei.

She then thought about herself. What are they going to me?.She looked around the room, her eyes red and puffy from all the sobbing. They might spare Sansa because she is to be wed to Joffrey, but what will they do to me? If only I was betrothed to someone from the North. They would never spare the daughter of a traitor they had no use for.Her fair hands held her head. What am I to do?.She paced around the room, trying to conjure up a plan to get out of this place. Then she thought about Arya.Wherever her little sister was, she hoped the gods would watch over and keep her safe.It was during the small hours that she finally had gone to sleep.

Eve woke the next morning, with a lump in her throat. She was not certain what she was so nervous about. She tried to come up with a plan to escape King's Landing and return to Winterfell last night, but whatever plan she thought of, when she analyzed it, it was the sort the plan which would fail. She thought of being kind to the guards and using her beauty to get them to open the door for her but Cersei Lannister's guards would not budge. This, she knew for a fact. She sat up, helpless and famished. She walked over to the door and knocked "May I have something to eat, please?.I am famished." she asked meekly. She heard a few footsteps shuffle. She even thought of killing the guards once her breakfast was brought up, but she did not have a single weapon on her.The guards had confiscated her dagger before bringing her and Sansa to their respective chambers, she realized. She miserably fell to the floor, waiting for what was to happen next.

"Bring me Sansa and the other Stark girl" Cersei bellowed. Her golden locks fell below her shoulders. She wore a bright green dress which made her eye color pop.Eve's stomach turned as she thought about what Cersei might do to her.It was not just Cersei she was worried about.Joffrey was mad.Once all the power of being the King of the Seven Kingdoms had gone to his head, he might do anything to Eve.Flay her, let his men have her, burn her alive.Anything.He despised her since she corrected him when they all arrived at King's Landing. He had gotten something wrong about Winterfell and when she corrected him, his face grew red with anger and he slapped her so hard she lost her balance. She never told her father or her siblings. She knew Sansa was to be wed to Joffrey and she could not risk this incident to spoil things for her sister.
There was a knock on the door. The stern-faced guard was standing in the doorway, staring at Eve "Queen Cersei wants to see you, girl".Girl? No person, not even in King's Landing, had addressed her as "girl".Not until now.She got up, weak from throwing up the breakfast she had eaten not even an hour ago.Her hair was unkempt."I'll be right out" she said, with barely any life left in her. The guard stood in the doorway.Eve got up "I'm ready to see her Grace".

As Eve walked into the Throne room, the guard's large hands holding her.She looked around and saw the contempt in everyone's eyes for her.She heard whispers."Look it's the traitor Ned Stark's daughter" "Hope she gets executed the same way her lord father had been" "It would be a mistake for the Queen to spare her, she has traitor's blood".Eve's eyes stung. She wished to cry, but she promised herself she wouldn't.She had to be brave for Sansa. She had to be brave for herself. She was a lady and therefore had to act like one, especially in court. She walked straight ahead, her heart no longer beating out of her chest.Whatever is going to happen is going to happen. You just need to be strong, Eve.
Eve could sense motion out of the corner of her eye.The doors were opened. Her eyes fell on Sansa, who looked like she was fine. There was a smile on her face, however slight. It felt good to know Eve was not alone in this. Her sister may become Queen of the Seven Kingdoms someday and may ask for Eve to be pardoned. But pardoned for what? What had done that she needed pardoning for?.She started to move towards her little sister when the guard pulled her back.Startled, she looked at Sansa who had the most melancholy look plastered on her beautiful face. She was  a mere child.
Queen Cersei stormed into the Throne room with 15 Lannister guards, and walking two steps ahead of her was Joffrey Baratheon, with his head held high.Eve wanted to kill him.She wanted to avenge her father. She prayed for patience. The Baratheon King sat on the Iron Throne. He leaned forward. The room grew quiet. The clamoring had come to a stop."Ah, the Stark girls. One a potential traitor and the other my bride-to-be".Cersei smiled as her son spoke."Why don't the two of you wait while we sort some things out?" Eve and Sansa were told to sit down. The two sisters were puzzled. They complied.
A string of men who had been loyal to Joffrey and the Queen stepped into the Throne room, without so much as a single sound.Joffrey was awarding them titles and lordships and lands for their services-for protecting their king and the realm from harm.Lord Baelish stood by Joffrey's side as did Lord Varys and Grand Maester Pycelle.Eve sat through Joffrey awarding titles and lands to ordinary men who had defended Joffrey and stayed loyal to him. These men did not appear to be honorable men.My father was honorable, Eve thought to herself. And where had that gotten him? These men lack honor, and they are alive, while my honorable father is six feet under and without a head. She wanted to sob at the thought, but she controlled herself.
