Eve slept at the far end of the bed and Baelish slept at the other end.She wondered why he had not had his way with her.She thought most men would, but he did not.
Waking as the sunlight bathed the room, Eve opened her eyes, sitting up.Petyr Baelish was not there.Thank the Gods for that. She fixed her hair and then straightened her skirts. She no longer cared how she looked. It did not matter to her that she was wearing a gown she had slept in.She thought about Catelyn and Robb, about how she should have embraced her mother a bit tighter, about how her last words to her should have been sweeter. She knew she would never see her again. She just knew.

"You are to leave for Harrenhal on the morrow" Cersei spoke to her in the gardens "You do know that, don't you?" There was that mocking smile again. She took great pleasure in watching Eve be miserable."How was last night?" she asked her, hitting a nerve.Eve resisted the urge to hit her.Oh, how she wanted to."It was not...bad, Your Grace" she let out, her hand balling into a fist."Oh, so I take it Baelish didn't have you lying on your back?" she said. The wolf did not know how much longer she could take the constant, never ending abuse and torture."I imagine it must be difficult for any man to lay with the daughter of a traitor" she hissed. Why is she doing this to me?."Lord Baelish sensed I was uncomfortable. He thought it best not to do—" Eve said, her voice low."Oh, are you certain?" she said."You know, you would be the Lady of Casterly Rock now, if you had accepted my father's proposal".A bile rose in the wolf's throat at the words. She remembered how after her father's execution, Cersei had suggested she be wed to her father.

"I will never marry your old father.I do not like the sight of him, and in case you hadn't noticed, Your Grace, he is at war with my brother!" she remembered yelling at the Queen "You Lannister scum!".Eve was relieved The Queen had only smacked her.

"But no, you northern savages prefer your own kind.Well, Petyr Baelish isn't from the North either"  she hissed "Perhaps Sansa could be my father's new wife".There was the bile in Eve's throat again."With Jaime in the Kingsguard and with Tyrion being an Imp, Casterly Rock could use an heir".The wolf could not stand idly by while Cersei made such suggestions.

She looked up at her this time, her stare one of defiance."Your Grace, my sister is only a child. She knows nothing about life at court. She would not be a suitable wife for L-lord Tywin", she asserted."Why wouldn't she be? We can't have our father wed an old maid, can we?" she said.Eve wanted to kill her, kill Joffrey."She is the daughter of a traitor, the sister of a traitor".The words she uttered, she did not mean "Lord Tywin deserves better".She found it difficult to say the words."Oh, that's not what you believed when I suggested you marry my father. You said he was too old for you.Thought you were better than him!".I am better than him."Lord Baelish is not the youngest of men. You'd better begin working at giving him an heir" she said, her green eyes boring into her "You can do that, at least, can't you?".

It took everything it had in Eve not to strike the wench, her lip trembling"Yes, Your Grace" her smile was not genuine "It is my duty to give Lord Baelish an heir.He certainly has waited too long" she said, folding her hands."You do know how it's done, don't you?" she asked, gripping her arm, throwing her a suggestive stare.Despite her maidenhood being intact, Eve did know how children were made, where they came from. She had Theon Greyjoy to thank for that or she thought she should rather curse him for knowing what she knew."Yes, Your Grace.I am aware" she said, inching away from her."I'm sure those northern lads have taken you. That is how you must know".

This time, Eve stood before her, stopping the lioness in her tracks "Your Grace, I fail to understand why you are so fixated on what I have done or will do.I have done as I was bid and I am married to Lord Baelish.I don't know what more you ask of me.You and your son have a Kingdom to rule, no? Fuck off!".That earned her a slap across the face.Eve's face stung."Watch your tongue, you northern whore!.We do have a kingdom to rule and you have a husband who needs your attention!.Sansa and my father will be wed.She is not a treasonous whore like you!" she spat at her."Speak to me that way again, and you'll lose your head, you Northern bitch!".
She had never been spoken to that way , she had never been slapped before her arrival in King's Landing. She missed her brothers , her mother. How she had longed to be with them.To be back home. She cursed King Robert for making her father his Hand.

"Cersei, how could you have married her to Petyr Baelish! My advice was to be sought! Couldn't you have waited till I arrived?!" Tyrion yelled at Cersei. Her eyes bore into her brother, her venomous glare silencing him."I can't believe father has made you Joffrey's Hand. What else was I to do? That wild bitch was becoming difficult to tame. She would hurl insults at me, at Joff.I would only hit her back, and then I had her and Sansa locked up in their chambers and posted guards at their doors.Baelish was the one who suggested it.I wanted her thrown in the streets of King's Landing or sent to the North, so perhaps the wildings could find her and then could have a go at her" That brought about a look of horror on Tyrion's face "You what!?" his face screwed up."Cersei, I didn't think you to be so dense!.Just because Baelish suggested it didn't mean you had to go ahead with it!".Cersei turned away from him."The girl had to get married. And who better than a member on Joff's council?" she was facing him now with folded arms, her head tilted "If anything, I did the girl a great kindness".Tyrion brought his palm to his face "Your Grace, you do realize her brother won't take well to this!.Do you realize what you've just done! No wonder Father thought of sending me here!" Tyrion spoke again "The girl" he said in a low voice as if somebody was in the room with them "he hasn't defiled her, has he?".Cersei threw him a sinister look "I hope he has.Why do you ask?" she said cooly, pouring some wine for her and Tyrion.

"If he hasn't, the situation can still be rectified! As acting Hand of the King, I will arrange an annulment and the Stark girls can be on their way!" he exclaimed, taking the goblet from Cersei's hand. Her eyebrows were furrowed."Why are so concerned about what happens to Ned Stark's daughters, Tyrion?" she asked, taking a seat. The look Tyrion wore on his face was solemn."They have Jaime" he said, leaning in."Robb Stark has Jaime, and if we propose to give him the two Stark girls in exchange for our brother, he may accept".Cersei's mouth was agape."Jaime? They have J-Jaime?".They have my lover, my brother?."You see, we have to give him the Stark girls in exchange for Jaime" he said, attempting to reason with her "If they discover Eve's been deflowered by Baelish, Robb Stark will kill Jaime there and then".Cersei's eyes wandered around the room before her eyes rested upon Tyrion."Fine, but Jaime must be brought here to King's Landing first. The Stark girls will be treated like guests until then.I don't care who the Stark girl marries. As long as Jaime's back here" she said, suppressing a sob.Tyrion was satisfied with the way this turned out.He never thought she would cave in."Good.So then do I have your permission to annul her marriage to Petyr?" He said, smiling. She waved her hand."Yes, yes" she said, dismissively.
