A Sliver of Hope

                 It had been a few days of Eve and Margaery planning her wedding to Joffrey.It has been a chore for Eve as she had no wish to plan this dastardly Lannister Tyrell wedding.She and Sansa had not been allowed to see each other, lest they hatch a plan or conspire against the Crown as many believe their father had done.As Eve sat in her chambers, all alone, she began to think of a plan, but her heart ached knowing that she would have to leave by herself.Her lady mother must have been worried-sick.Also, Jaime Lannister had not yet arrived in King's Landing, and even if he did, Eve thought, who is to say Cersei will stay true to her word?. At least Mother will have one of her daughters back.Gods know what she must be going through.

She sat and she thought.Arya had once shown me a secret passage into the Red Keep.It has many hidden passages as Maegor The Cruel wished to ensure that in the event of an attack he had an escape route.But how would I even get there?.It would be impossible as she had not known which of the bedrooms in the Red Keep even had a stone wall.This room certainly did not.She heard a knock on the door, however, the knock was different, not the usual rapping on the door she was accustomed to and the door, to her delight, was not locked from the outside."Who is it?" she opened the door slightly and then stepping outside, relieved to see nobody was in sight, when suddenly somebody placed a hand on her mouth."Be quiet.I am going to get you out of here".The voice did sound familiar, however."Lady Eve.There's no need to be alarmed, just wear this cloak and follow me".She recognized the man to whom the voice belonged.It was Varys.She did as she was bid, donning the black cloak which was handed to her and closed her eyes.The spymaster of  King's Landing held her hand and led her down a hidden passage down the Red Keep, lest they be seen by anyone.There had been stairs which both she and Varys ran down.

     Before she lifted her head to get an idea of where exactly they were, they had already been out of the Red Keep."Now" Varys said, linking his arm with hers."I've paid for a room for you on that ship there, the first on the left" he pointed "Tell them your name is Tamara".She nodded."My lord, I am ever so grateful, but why would you do such a thing for me?" she asked, looking at him."Look, I'm aware I have been known to betray certain people, but I cared for your father.Cared for him a great deal.You are not safe here, my lady, and I would hate for another head to decorate the spikes in the Red Keep".That put a pit in her stomach."Now, go, my lady.There isn't time.I fear someone will notice my absence".She quickly nodded and walked towards the docks.Eve was ever so grateful for The Spider.She supposed him it was due to him serving four kings that he knew where the hidden passages were."Good afternoon, somebody's paid for a room for me on this ship.My name is Tamara" Eve said to a man.The man eyed her.She had never been to the markets here in King's Landing, so there were slim to no chances of her being recognized."You can board the ship".As she boarded the ship, she worried about Sansa.Varys was so quick to leave that it left her no chance to ask him why Sansa could not accompany her, why he could not help Sansa escape as well.She supposed he had already taken a large enough risk helping her escape.This was her first time traveling by ship alone.

          She saw men aboard the ship, who were staring at her."Oh that's a lovely wench there".She ignored their comments and went down to where she believed the rooms had been.There were only a few, and she looked around to find out which would be hers."Yours is there" a woman walked up to her, opening the door of the room."Tamara, isn't it?" the older woman looked at her with a smile.Eve smiled back, walking into her room.It had been decent enough and would do."Thank you so much, ...." Eve said, closing the curtains."Meredith, the name's Meredith".
