Promises (Yandere Kakyoin x Reader)

This is a much shorter one shot than usual but I hope it's still enjoyable!**

Kakyoin POV:

Kakyoin was sure you would be his...

"Yare yare daze, I'm just gonna come out and say it. You're not the most annoying girl ever. Do you wanna get dinner sometime?"

until he heard that.

I never imagined in a million years that Jotaro would actually be interested in her! He showed no sign of that whatsoever during the journey!

You had been an enemy of the Crusaders, until Jotaro removed the flesh bud from your head. From then on you joined their group and helped them defeat Dio.

All throughout the journey, Jotaro had been seemingly cold to you, as he was with most people, while Kakyoin absolutely adored you and became your closest friend on the trip.

But of course, that's all you saw your relationship as. Friends.

Kakyoin didn't know about the glances Jotaro threw at you when no one was paying attention or the way he brushed his hand against yours when no one looked. All the subtle ways that Jotaro expressed his affection without admitting it.

Jotaro knew Kakyoin was in love with you.

But he never expected how extreme it actually was.

"Jotaro, you asked Y/N out?" Kakyoin asked at Jotaro's house.

"What about it?"

"Why?" Kakyoin tried to understand.

"Is there a problem?"

Is there a problem?! You seem to have shown almost no care at all for Y/N, but suddenly you want to be with her.

Since the day she joined the group, I've been by her side. Cheering her up when she was down, making her smile, tending to her when she got injured.

Kakyoin had so much to say, but held it in. "No, I guess not."

Jotaro made a 'hmm' sound and went to the garden where you were enjoying the koi pond.

How can this be? Did I do something to make Y/N upset? Surely I must have done something for her to toss me aside like this, after all the affection I've shown her, all the attention I've given!

Later, Kakyoin walked home with you. 

"Y/N, I haven't done anything to upset you, have I?"

"Huh, what are you talking about Nori? You could never upset me, silly. You're my best friend." you playfully punched his arm.

His emotions were mixed. He felt emboldened that 'he could never upset you' but didn't want to hear the word friend.

"Well, it's just that, you and Jotaro..."

"What about me and Jotaro?" 

He didn't know how to respond, emotion welling up inside.

You sighed. "Nori, whatever me and Jotaro have going on, it doesn't change anything between us. I'll always be there for you. We'll always be together, right?"

Kakyoin gave you a small smile. "Right." he said simply before entering his home.

"See you tomorrow!" you waved at him, running off. He watched you until you were out of sight. Closing the door, his smile turned into a wide grin and he began to laugh hysterically.

I know she loves me. She's just having a hard time admitting it is all.

'It doesn't change anything between us.'

What's between us is love.

True love.

'We'll always be together, right?'

We will, Y/N.

I promise.

Kakyoin held back his emotions as you and Jotaro started dating, convinced that you truly loved him instead, and you were just dating Jotaro because-- well, the excuses Kakyoin made for you changed by the day.

But his mental state deteriorated rapidly as he continued to spy on you two, catching you kissing and cuddling.

Eventually, he'd had enough.

One day, he walked home with you from Jotaro's place, like always.

"Y/N, I really needed you this past week, but you were always busy with Jotaro." 

"What? Nori, why didn't you say anything?" you looked concerningly at him.

"Sorry, I didn't want to bother the happy couple." he said, disgust in his voice.

"Is that what this is really about? Is that why you've seemed off lately?"

"You said this wouldn't change anything between us, Y/N. You said, we'd always be together. Well, Jotaro is getting in the way of our 'always'." It was all coming out now.

"He's not! I'm sorry you feel that way though, I haven't been trying to ignore you. How about I make it up to you? What do you want?"

"I don't know if you could give me what I want."

"You know I'd do anything for you, Nori."

Hearing that his face broke into a wide grin. It was just what he was waiting to hear.

"Leave Jotaro. Be with me instead. Stay with me. I'd love you and adore you all day, Y/N. You know I would." He unconsciously held your arm in a tight grip, dragging you into his home.

"Nori-- that hurts!"

"It's just a small punishment for not keeping your promises, Y/N, but don't worry. I promise to take good care of you, and I mean it. 

This way we'll always be together. 

Just like you said."
