Once we started running Rachel turned to the right and I just stopped "wait!" I called out

"What are you waiting for" she yelled out then stopped running and turned around

"If we are going to find that dead griever we should go left because that's the way we went last night" I yelled out

Rachel started running towards me "I'm the keeper of the runners I know how this maze works what are you" she yelled at me

"When did you start looking for the dead griever" I said to her "2 days ago" she yelled even more louder "ok so if your the keeper of the runners and know which way to go then why haven't you found it yet" I yelled that at her

Rachel looked shocked "if your so smart then you lead the way" Rachel said while pointing behind me

"I will, and ill do a better job then you" this time I yelled at her the turned around and starting running left "you coming!" I yelled behind me

Rachel started running towards me as I kept running

Later that day

"Are you sure it's this way" Rachel called out from behind me "yes, for the hundredth time today!" I yelled at her

We turned a corner and I looked down the corridor and saw something sticking out from the wall I hit Rachel in the chest softly to get her attention "told you it was left" I smiled at her then started running towards the thing in the wall

Once we for there we both stopped "oh that's nasty" I said "wait there's something in there" Rachel said "help me pull it out"

Rachel shoved her hand inside the wall but all of a sudden it made a jerk and Rachel fell over scared

"You ok" I said while holding my hand out for her to grab. she grabbed my hand an pulled herself up

"Lets pull it out" she said I just looked at her but she was all ready holding one of the legs and I grabbed the other leg

"One, two, three pull!" Rachel yelled out and we both pulled and the legs ripped out from the wall

It was very disgusting but what came after was worse we heard an Eco through the walls of the maze it sounded like grievers

"What was that" Rachel asked "maybe when you take that thing out of a griever it sends off a help thing for the others to come help" I said then pointed to something glowing

Rachel looked at it and picked it up it had the guts of the griever on it and I all most puked

She ripped the glowing thing out if the griever part with no hesitation then stared at it

"Come on we've gotta go" I said while taking my bow off my back and drawing an arrow ready for a griever to show up

Rachel nodded then said "ill lead you take my back ok" I nodded then we started running trying to be as quiet as possible

'What was that sound' I heard newt say in my head 'we found something in the griever I killed and it like sent off a warning signal I need you to get everyone to a safe place' I thought to newt

'Be careful out there' he said I could feel how he felt even though I couldn't see him 'I promised you I would come home and I will' I said back

Then I heard a griever behind me and I saw the beast "RACHEL" I yelled out "SHOOT IT" she yelled at me

I aimed at the griever and released my arrow and it went flying through the air and hit the griever I the stomach but that didnt stop the griever from getting closer

I got another arrow and shot it at the grievers neck this time and it still did nothing then I grabbed another one trying to work as fast as possible

Then I had I my one option

I had to hit it in it's mouth or between it's eyes

I drew my arrow and aimed between the grievers eyes and released and this time the griever went down and I think it died "lets go, go go, go, go, go" Rachel yelled out while grabbing my injured shoulder

"AHHHH, it still hurts don't grab my left shoulder" I cried out "oh sorry but we really have to go" she called out then she started running

"Don't cover me just run we have to protect the other gladers"

My first thought was newt being killed by a griever and me dying on the inside

-11--1111We started sprinting and soon enough we got to the glade but the griever sounds kept in coming

When we ran into the glade no one was to be seen "where are they" Rachel called out 'newt where are you' I thought in my head 'we are hiding in the runners place, run' I heard him say

"Your runners place, lets go" I yelled to Rachel and started running towards it with Rachel following me

When we made it to the hut I basically kicked down the door and saw everybody in there I dropped my bow and arrows on the ground and ran directly to Josie

I know I should have gone to newt Josie looked like she needed it

I grabbed Josie and pulled her into a gig "I'm so sorry I left you" Josie hugged me back but she whispered "we need to talk later" we broke out of our hug and I have her a confused look but she just ignored it and pointed over to newt

I ran to him and practically jumped into his arms and he all most fell over "I'm so glad you made it home" he whispered to him "I'm so glad your safe right now" I whispered back to him
