I walked back into the glade and saw Jamie at her cooking place "anything left to eat" I asked "I think we've got baked beans somewhere hidden in the back" she said

Jamie then turned around and dropped her smile once she saw me "oh honey what happened" she asked coming around and giving me a hug i squeezed her tightly and sniffled and took a deep breath in and whipped away a tear

"It's ok I'm ok" I said to her "are you sure" she asked I turned my head to the right and I saw newt standing there watching me "yeah I'm fine" I said to her still looking at newt

I stopped looking at him then smiled at Jamie "so is that all we have" I asked her "for the moment yes, I think I hid some canned food in case of emergency ill go look" she said "i be back in a second, you hold on" then she left

I was just sitting there staring at a wall then newt came over to me "please listen to me Charlotte" he said "why do you keep trying you know we are over" I said

"I know but you have to let me explain" he said coming around the table and sitting next to me I turned to him but didnt look at him "I had to" he said "no you didn't I didn't see any one holding a gun to your head" I said "no but they threatened to kill you, they said if I told you they would kill you and I didn't want that yo happen so I lied" he said but I just sat there in silence

He looked down and said "that necklace was a gift from me to you it's the only thing from the outside world that I have and I wand you to have it"

He lifted his hands over me and put the necklace around my neck

Once he put it on I still sat there in silence then he kissed my shoulder, then my neck, then my cheek and then my lips "no no no no no" I said pushing him off "you can't just lie to me then kiss me and expect everything to be ok"

"I don't expect things to be ok" he says "I want you can't you see how hard I'm trying for you to forgive me"

"What I see is you trying to make me forget what you have done" I yelled at him. he grabbed my hand and placed it in his "can't you see I love you" he said I yanked my hand away "all I can see is liar" I said to him

He grabbed my hand and put it against his heart "stop and listen" he said "if I tell a lie my heart will beat faster if I tell the truth my heart will stay the same"

"I love you" he said but his heartbeat stayed the same "I lied to you to protect you" his heart stayed the same "I hate how you hate me right now" his heart was still the same "and I love how everytime we kiss my heartbeat grows faster and I feel alive"

His heartbeat stayed the same and I was shocked he leaned in and kissed me but the worse thing was that I allowed him to he placed his hand on my hips and pulled me in close I felt a tear trickle down my face then I pushed him away

"No please newt don't out me through this pain again" I said to him "what can I do to make it up to you" he said we where both standing tree crying looking at eachother "who's Theresa" I asked

"No Charlotte please" he said "I don't care if they kill me I want to know' I yelled at him he looked at the ground then sat down "you know how we can talk in our minds, well there is this other girl in my head and she can talk to me to" he said

" I don't believe you" I said to him "I can't prove it to you but it's true" he said "all those times when I wasn't talking to you in my head I was talking to her" he said

"Her!" I yelled at him "so your cheating on me with another girl in your mind" no I swear Charlotte I only love you" he said

We both looked each other in the eyes I wiped away my tear "look newt I want to bel-" he cut me off and said "dont I know what your going to say"

I grabbed his hand and interlocked them into mine "today we leave here together and once we are out of here then we can talk about us" I said then I kissed his cheek and whispered "today's the day we leave" then I walked away
