I was woken up by a sudden jolt like some one was shaking me when my eyes finally adjusted to the light I saw Rachel

"Come on greenie we waste no time cuddling people" she whispered to me

Then she got up and started walking way I looked up at newt who was still asleep I kissed his cheek and tried to get out of bed without waking him up

But suddenly something grabbed my hand 'be careful out there' I heard newt in my head

I turned and looked at him 'I will' he smiled then let go of my hand

I got up and started following Rachel to where she was going

When we were far away from the sleeping group "first we get you suited up" she said

We turned into the forest and started walking into the forest

We finally arrived at a small building that looked old "what is this place" I asked her "its where the runners meet up and prep for a run" she answered me

She opened the door and went in, once I walked in I stared at everything in the room

"Come on we got no time to waste, here put this on" she said while chucking me some leathery bib

I put it on and tightened my straps "good now we will be running from the glade all the way over here, where I think we where last night we've gotta be quick if we wanna make it back before the doors close, and we don't want another meeting with those grievers do we" she said

I nodded at her "ok so you've been peeped, put these shoes on and follow me down the stairs" she says

"What stairs" I asked "only Josie, Julie and I know where they are, it's where we keep all of our weapons no one can know because they could harm another glader" Rachel said

"So why do I get to see it" I asked Rachel looked up at me then lifted up a trap door then looked down "cause I trust you more then anyone who has been here for 3 years"

Then she went down the door and yelled out "you coming" I quickly snapped out of my daydreaming and followed her down the trap door

Once I was in there Rachel lit a light which lit up the whole room "every runner gets there own weapon, it's their choice" I looked up at the wall and saw a variety of weapons but the one I was most drawn to was the bow and arrow

I said "the bow and arrow" Rachel looked at me "do you know how to use it, no one I have seen is able to use it correctly other then Julie" she looked down onto the ground

"How are you able to stay strong through loosing Ben and Julie" I said she looked up and me and said "I've lost count of how many people I have lost here I've grown used to it"

I wanted to hug her so badly but I knew it would make things worse so I just picked the bow and arrow up and I drew a bow and placed it into the bow and aimed at the wall

"You see that torch if I can hit it I get to use this" I said Rachel nodded then moved out of the way I aimed at the torch and let the arrow go I watched as it flew and landed directly into the fire and burnt into a crisp

I heard Rachel start clapping "it's yours" he said I smiled then put the bow over my head and I to my back and grabbed the arrows an put them in an arrow case and out that over my back

I turned around ready to leave but Rachel called out "wait" I turned around. Rachel grabbed knife from the board and handed it to me "you all ways have one of these on you even if you can't use one"

"But what about the one Julie gave me" I asked "then you carry two" she said

I grabbed the knife from her hand and placed it in my belt

Rachel started to walk forward and I followed behind her "Rachel we will find her" I said she stopped walking then turned her head and smiled at me then continued to walk upwards "sure" she whispered but I managed to hear her
