Today Li and Jimin were driving down to the police station to see her father, and discuss the final preperations of moving. It saddened her to know she was leaving her father behind, but he reasurred her, while they were gone that they would do everything in their power to catch him and get him back behind bars so that they could eventually come back and feel safe again.
It was a good plan. A plan that seemed to be working in her favor. It almost seemed too easy. But she didnt let that concern her.
She leaned her head against the car window. They had just dropped Min off at school. And with her knowing he was there amongst other students and teachers, it put her mind at ease.
She hadnt felt much afraid since they started staying with Jimin. Even her nightmares seemed to be few and far betweeen. It was nice. She had almost forgotten what it was like to feel at peace. To feel calm. To feel safe.
"You alright?" Jimin asks, breaking the silence in the air.
"Mmm" she sighed, not looking away from the window.  "Just thinking." she sighs.
"Good things...I hope."
"Mmm" she says again.

Just then Li's phone rings, Jimin had bought her and Min new ones after what happened the night Tae called her.  The sudden sense of dread filled the air as Li turned the phone over to once again see that it was a number she didnt recognize.
Her hands began to tremble, and Jimin pulled over and took the phone away from her.
"I will answer it this time..." he says as he swipes the phone to accept the call.
"Hello?"
Li waited in anticipation and nervously fidgeted with her fingernail beds, trying to read his face to see who it might be that was calling. But his face seemed calm and blank. There was no sign of anger or fear.
"This is her phone and her boyfriend speaking, who is calling?"
She blushed at him calling himself her boyfriend. They havent even said aloud that they were a couple. Although it was fairly obvious at this point.
"Yes, we will be there right away. Thank you." Jimin hangs up the phone and sits itnin the middle console as he starts the car back up and speeds back onto the highway.
Li begins to panic now as he keeps increasing the speed that the car was going.
"Jimin, whats going on? I am a little scared now."
"Your father is in the hospital...."  Jimin says, not looking away from the road.
"Im sorry....what?" Li says in disbelief. Not her father. No. They must have her confused with someone else's daughter. Her father hardly ever got sick and when he did, he never went to the hospital. She has seen him in the hosptal once and it was whe he got the flu not long ago.
"Yes. He is in the hospital. It seems he collapsed at work."
"Should we go get Min?" she aks, trying to keep her mind steady. Trying to keep herself from crying. But all she could think was Taehyung was somehow involved in this. And it made her furious. If she lost her father to him, she didnt know what she would do. She didnt even want to think about it.
"Let's just see whats going on first. He's safe where he is. We will get him if need be, or I will."
Li nods and begins to watch the road as Jimin weaved in and out of traffic, trying to get to the hospital quickly.
Once they arrived, Jimin helped her out of the car, and they quickly ran up to the hospital doors inside.
"Hi, what room is Choi Ran in?" Li says out of breath once they reached the nurse's desk.
"May I ask your relation?" the nurse says throug a small smile.
"I am his daughter, Choi Li. Please let me back to see my father..." she says in a rushed tone.
"Of course. Hes down the hall, last room on the right. He might be resting though, he had quite the fall. I will send the doctor in to explain everything to you now that you've arrived." the nurse explains.
Li nods. "Thank you." she says as she grabs Jimin's hand and they walk down the hall to her father's room.
Li takes a deep breath as she opens the door and is relieved to see her father sitting up reading a newspaper.
"Papa..." she says through a happy sigh as she walks over and hugs him.
"Oh Li, and Jimin too! I didnt expect to see you here." he says as he hugs his daughter back. "I told them not to call and worry you." he says patting her back.
"Im glad youre okay papa, I thought the worst on my way here."
"Oh I will be fine, got over worked and fainted and hit my head on my desk." he says pointing to the bandage on his forehead. "Doctor says I will be just fine. They just want to keep me to make sure there is no bleeding on the brain you know routine things like that." he says with a smile.
Li looked down, she couldnt help but feel responisble for him feeling over worked. He was doing everything he could to protect her. To help her leave safely. To catch the bad guy like he always said he would.
She sniffled a little as she looked back up at him. "Do you need anything?" she asks.
"No, I will be just fine. You go on home and dont worry about me. I will call you if anything happens. And if I dont, they damn sure will." he smiles and then winks up at Jimin.
"Are you sure Papa?" she asks again.
"I am perfectly fine. You will see, in the morning I will be leaving here a happy and healthy man." he says hugging her once more.
After saying their goodbyes, against her better judgement, Li left with Jimin.

Taehyung watched carefully behind them and clenched his teeth when he saw Jimin slip his arm around Li's waist and pulled her closer.
"He will be fine babe, dont worry. Hes a tough man." he says leaning down to kiss her on top of her head.
"Yea, I know. I just dont want to leave him here." Li says. Tae could hear the smile in her voice. Once again another person was in his place making her happy.
This made Tae furious as he resisted the urge to sprint over and tear them away from each other. But he was here for other reasons.
He waited until they rounded the corner and disappeared before he sat down in the waiting room.
"Soon." he thought to himself. "Soon."
After a few hours of scrolling through his phone and patiently waiting for the right time and for the Doctor's and Nurse's visits into Ran's room to not be so frequent, he figured now was the best time.
He stood up and walked over to the room and hesitated as he put his hand around the door knob. He began to second guess every action that lead up to this point, and if he really wanted to do this again.
But with Ran out of the way, a funeral would give her reason to stay. It would give her reason not leave. And it would give him more time to figure out what to do with her and Min.
As he pushed open the door, he peaked his head in carefully, he didnt know what to expect Luckily the old man was asleep with his back facing the door.
Taehyung moved closer, his heart racing. Knowing he was one step closer to doing what he needed to do to have her again.
