Chapter 17: Finally Free

*Last Chapter*

Li opened her eyes once again. The room came quickly into focus and she rubbed her eyes and looked over to her side to see Min with his head laying on the bedside, holding her other hand in his.
She breathed a heavy sigh of relief as the tears once again fell down her cheeks. She ran her fingers through his mess hair and smiled.
"I am so glad you are okay..." she whispers.
Min looked up and smiled happily. "Mom you are finally awake!" he says through a half whisper as he carefully hugs her.
"Yes..." she says patting his back. "I am just fine. Are you okay?" she asks, pushing him back gently, looking him up and down.
"Yea mom, I am fine. Just a bump on my head where the bastard hit me. But I am fine."
"Watch your mouth...." she says laughing.
"Sorry mom." Min blushes as he sits back down.
"You really do look like your father." she sighs as she tries to sit up.
"Here let me help you..." he says as he adjusts the bed and pillows for her.
"Thank you." she says through a small smile.
"I wish I could meet dad." he says through a sigh.
"He sends his love. He says you've grown well."
He smiles and takes her hand in his. "Oh! By the way, the doctor says the baby is just fine. The stab wound wasnt even anywhere near the baby. I was in here when they explained that to Jimin." he smiles.
"Jimin is alive?!" Li asks in a shocked tone.
"Mhm, yes hes perfectly fine." Min nods.
"How, I heard a gun as I passed out."
"Apparently Taehyung is a lousey shot. Better with knives I guess...."
"Choi Min...." Li scolds.
"Sorry." he looks down.
"Where is Jimin?" Li asks looking around the room.
"He went to get coffee. He should be back any minute. We have been with you this whole time. Barely slept. Niether of us have been home."
"And Taehyung?"
"Dead. You did a real good number on him." he says inmitating a stabbing motion.
"Am I in any trouble?"
"I dont think so. You had your phone recording remember. I think the police are gonna come ask you questions, cause they took your phone when they got to the scene. But I dont think you are in any trouble." he smiles proudly at his mother.
"You are awake!" came Jimin's voice now as the door slid open.
You looked over to him and smiled. "I am so glad you are okay." Li says through her tears as he leans down to kiss her cheek and gently hug her.
"I am just glad you left me that note." he says sitting down next to her and handing Min his cup of coffee.
"Is it really over this time?" she asks taking Jimin's hand and lacing her fingers within his.
"Yes." he says squeezes her hand. "You are finally free."

*8 months later*
*After everything that happened, Li finally brought herself to be able to return to her childhood home and pack up hers and her father's things, to sale the home since he left it to her in his will.*

"MOMMMMMMM" Min's voice rang through the house as he ran down the stairs.
"Choi Min, watch your tone with your mother." Jimin scolds him, but with a smile on his face.
"Sorry, dad." he says. "I cant find mom. And I need to know what she wants me to do with these boxes."
"Dad?" Li's voice says from behind them.
Both boys turn to look at her and smile at the same time.
"Yea, I am giving it a go. Jimin just didnt sound right. After everything." Min shrugs.
Li looks down and smiles. "You dont have..."
"Its fine mom. I understand. Anyways, what do you want me to do with grampa's records?" he says holding up a few boxes.
"Those need to go in the back of my car, we will take those down to the station when we head back to the house."
"Okay, I will take them there now." he says and turns to head towards the door. As he did so Li caught eye of what the box has said. "Kim Taehyung Case" and she felt a famaliar feeling of fear and sadness that she hadnt felt in a long time.
"You alright?" Jimin asks as he slips an arm around her waist and pulls her close to him.
"Yes I am fine." she says and nods.
"Hes gone. You dont have to worry anymore." he says as he moves a stray piece of hair from her eyes.
"I know. Still hurts someimes." she says leaning her head on his chest.
"I know. But you got this. We got this." he says rubbing her stomach gently.
Just then there is a sudden gush of fluids, and they both look down in time to see their feet being covered in what looked like water.
Li and Jimin both look up to each other, Jimin in slight confusion, and you smiling knowing exactly what this means.
Just then Min walks in and looks down at the floor and then up at both Jimin and Li.
"Mom....did your...?"
"Yep! Baby is coming, go go go!" she shouts to the both of them as she tries to run to the door.

Min paced back and forth impatiently in the waiting room, waiting to hear any news about his newest sibling that was being born.
When the third hour passed by, he began to panic slightly that something may have happened with the delievery.
Just then a nurse approaches him and he prepared himself for the worst.
"Choi Min?" she asks curiously.
"Yea...is my mom alright?" he says cutting her off before she could get another sentence out.
"She is just fine. She sent me to get you. You can come in now." she says, leading him down the hall and into the hospital room.
Min walked carefully into the room, and caught eye of Jimin holding a tiny little bundle in his arms. He looked up as Min enterned and smiled a big smile.
"Well..?" Min asks curiously as he gets closer to see.
"Its a girl..." Jimin whispers as he leans his arm down a little for Min to see the baby.
Min smiled happily as he looked at the baby. "Can I hold her?"
"Of course." Jimin says as he lays the baby across his arms. "Support the head, yea like that..." he says showing him how to hold the baby.
Min looks over to his mom who was watching intently.
"Are you ok?"
"Mm. Just tired." she says through a yawn.
"Whats her name?" Min asks as he rocks her a little.
"Park Hanuel."(means heavenly) Li says with a smile.
"Are we gonna stay Choi or will we get the Park name too?" Min asks curiously.
"Mabye someday." Jimin says as he lays an arm across his shoulder. "Lets take it one step at a time." he smiles.
"Thanks dad, for everything." he says to Jimin.
Jimin nods and looks back to Li.
"I love you."
"I love you too."
