chapter twenty eight

[I FINISHED THE PLOT YAY! This is a bit shorter than when I usually write]

"Good morning." Sugawara greeted. It was breakfast, and Maru's group had sat with us.

I began looking around. "Are you talking to me?" I asked. What a personality change! First, he acts like such an asshole, then he takes me by the sweater and confesses to me, and now he's sitting here acting like everything is fine?

"Who else would I be talking to?" He answered. He's so calm? My first impression of him was that he was a hot tempered basketball player. "You look nice in skirts by the way, you should show your legs off more often."

"Thanks?" Was this the same person from before?

"Ryouma chan, do you know where we're going today?" Yuuri chan asked.

I shook my head no. "Where are we going?"

"We're going to Mount Inasa today!" She smiled.

"That sounds exciting." Mabuchi kun said. He had finally arrived with Kominato. These boys are slow. "Good morning."

"Good morning!" Futaba chan greeted.

"Good morning, Mabuchi kun." Yuuri chan said with a big smile on her face.

"Morning." Shuuko chan said.

"Finally you two are awake. You're both late." I told him as he sat between me and Sugawara.

"Sorry," Mabuchi kun apologized to him after sitting down. "Did you want to sit beside her?"

"It's fine." Sugawara said, though he looked really annoyed.

"Kominato and I were talking a lot last night and we lost track of time. Also, our alarm went off at the wrong time." Mabuchi kun explained.

"You see, it would've been way better if they had actually let me room with you guys. You'd be up and early." I laughed.

"How is it rooming with the girls? Is it fun?"

"It's tons of fun, Kou!" Futaba chan exclaimed.

"Is it?" Mabuchi kun asked.

"Very." I nodded. Though, Futaba chan and Yuuri chan talk nonstop about Touma kun and Uchimiya kun. Then they plan how they want me and Mabuchi kun to get together.

"Hey Ryouma-" Sugawara called.

"It's Kazehaya san to you." I said, cutting me off.

"Ryouma chan." He corrected himself. Why do I bother? "What are you planning to do on the last day of our trip? We supposedly have a free day."

"I don't know, but it'll be without you." I answered.

"You're so mean Kazehaya." Maru commented. I shrugged.

"Come on, please? I know this great-"

"No."

"You haven't even heard what I got to say." That sounds familiar, doesn't it?

"The answer is still no." I said. I could tell he was getting frustrated.

"Isn't that Harumi kun's sister, Ryouma chan?" Shuuko chan asked. "She's walking towards us."

"Kazehaya chan! Kou kouhai!" Harumi san came unusually smiling towards our table. Behind her, was Ren. What was she doing here?

"Are you okay Kazehaya? You seem tense." Mabuchi kun whispered.

"I'm fine." I said. Why was she here? She was a grade ahead of us, wasn't she?

"Good morning." Ren greeted us, then began talking to my group. "I'm sure you all know Harumi Nao chan. Since she is your age, but a year ahead, the school has added her onto the trip. So she'll be joining your group for the rest of the trip."
