"There you are, Ryouma chan!" Yuuri chan exclaimed when Mabuchi kun and I returned. "You guys were gone for so long! The day is almost over."

"Sorry, Mabuchi kun took me to meet someone today. Where's Shuuko chan?"

"She's with Kominato. Anyways, didn't you say Kou was with you?" Futaba chan pointed. I looked around, and Mabuchi kun was no where to be seen. Did he leave?

"Where did he go?" I asked, looking for him.

"Well, you can go look for him. The two of us are going to go rest for a little bit in the hotel room. We've been so busy with our boyfriends it's about time we let them have fun together." Futaba chan smiled.

"Okay. Bye you two." I waved as I went off to find Mabuchi kun.

I began walking around the hotel. He probably wasn't going to be here, but I wanted to at least see the sunset. I haven't seen the sun rise or set since the leadership camp, and I heard it would be really pretty here.

"There you are!" Harumi chan was running after me. Where the hell did she come from? "I've been looking for you all day! Where is my Kou kouhai?"

"I don't know." I shrugged. If I knew where he was, I'd be beside him.

"Liar! You've been hogging him all day- I bet you both went on a date and you hid him!" She accused. To think, my happiness would last. She's wrecking my happy mood.

"It's not my fault actually. I saw him and went with him." It was technically a date actually, since it was the two of us visiting and exploring a city I've never been to. "Can't you just leave me alone?"

"I want my Kou kouhai!" Harumi chan demanded. Jesus christ, she's like an annoying child. She's my age, but she's supposed to be a year ahead? How?

"I don't know where he is."

"Tell me-"

Next thing I knew, Mabuchi kun appeared. Did he hear anything?

"There you are Kazehaya, I've been looking for you." Mabuchi kun smiled at me, like he had actually meant for this to happen. Was he saving me?

"Yeah, I have too." I said.

"Kou kouhai! There you are!" Harumi chan said, changing character, and went to hug him. "Kazehaya chan's being so mean to me! She kept telling me to go away and that I was only annoying you!"

She's a great actress. She wasn't wrong though. I would have loved to say that out loud.

"Harumi san." Mabuchi kun said to her. "I would appreciate it if you'd be nicer to Ryouma. She's my best friend and saying these bad things about her are only making you look like a bad person."

He told her.

"You.." She looked surprised, embarrassed, and angry. "You're an asshole!" She pushed him and ran away. He needs to act nicer to girls.

"She's right, you are an asshole." I commented.

"I overheard everything. I'm surprised she's been saying those things to you." Mabuchi kun said as the two of us watched the sunset.

"I was surprised too at first when I first met her, but over time, I stopped caring." I said. "It's weird hearing you say Ryouma, and am I really your best friend?"

"Of course, you and I are a team." He smiled, then looking at the sunset.

"Isn't the sunset beautiful?" I asked. I waited for an answer, but saw that he dazing off. "Mabuchi kun?"

"I'm sorry. I just.. I haven't seen a sunset in so long." He told me. "The last thing I saw with my mom was a sunset, and since then I haven't been able to see one without thinking about her."

"Would you think of it as a sad memory?"

"No." He shook his head no.

"Why?"

He took a deep breath. "It's partially sad because it's the last thing my mom saw, but it always reminded me how much she was like the sun." He explained. Like the sun? "She had a bright, sunny personality. Her smile was bright. She gave others light.. And she was beautiful day and night, like the sunrise and sunset."

"Wow." I said.

"I would say it's a happy memory."

"Happy memory huh?" I laughed, remembering what Mabuchi kun had said in the beginning of the year. "There are things you can only achieve together. So that... so that someday, when you look back, the people you experienced it with will see it as a "happy memory" with the same warmth that you do."

"You still remember that?" He laughed. "Well, I would say this is a happy memory." His lips curled up a little, as he looked back at me.

"A much happier memory." I smiled.
