chapter nineteen

"I'm sorry for falling asleep and taking most of your bed last night." Kazehaya apologized as the two of us began walking to the train station. "I was up until 4 in the morning the night before doing something."

"It's okay. Besides, Haru was the one who said to leave you. He said that he'd tell Takashi to get you, but I was surprised that Chi got you."

Last night, Kazehaya fell asleep on the couch and I called her brothers to come and get. When I did, Haru answered and said he'd send Takashi to get her in the morning. Until then, I went to wake her up and tell her to go sleep in my room. Which I didn't even need to. She was already acting like she lived here and made herself really comfortable.

In the morning when the doorbell rang, it was Chi.

"Good morning Kou senpai!" Chi smiled happily as I answered the door. It was 5 to 6 in the morning, but he was acting like it was 3 in the afternoon. This family sure likes to wake up early. "Haru nii said that nii chan was here! Sorry I'm late, I was taking a quick run."

"She's still sleeping. I thought Takashi was going to get her?" I asked. Would Chi be able to carry her? Not that I'm doubting him..

"Nii-san had to get ready early for swim practice at his university, and Haru was lazy. I didn't mind, so I went." He smiled. "Where is she?"

"She's in my room sleeping. Come in." I invited him in and showed him my room.

"Sorry that she took your bed senpai. Where did you sleep?" Chi asked as she picked her up. He's surprisingly strong..
"I slept in my parent's room since my dad wasn't home." I lied. I didn't want him knowing that I slept beside her. I didn't do anything to her. It was my room, so I had a right to sleep in it. Even if I did do something, she's strong enough to break my arm. "Do you need any help?"

"I'm fine, thank you though." Chi carried her down the stair on his back. I made sure he didn't fall. "Did you know she talks in her sleep? We find it so cute. Don't you?"

"Uh. Sure." I answered, blushing slightly. I wanted to say yes so badly.

He picked his shoes and I opened the door for him. "Did you know her birthday's coming up?"

"Yeah. I heard from Ren." I nodded.

"Here's a little hint- She may not look like it, but she's a sucker for teddy bears and stuffed animals. She's weak for those that are cute, but don't tell her I told you." Chi winked. "Bye senpai."

"Bye Chi." I waved.

Well, at least I know what to look for. Cute things huh.. That's actually adorable how she doesn't want anyone to know. I wonder if Maru knows, or any of the other boys? I could just imagine her getting loads of gifts from them. Cute... Does she find me cute?

"Mabuchi kun." Kazehaya broke me out of my gaze.

"Yeah?" I asked, focusing back on her. What did she say?

"You're not even listening to me." She sighed. "I asked who else was going."

"Oh." Let me think, Kishinuma and Satoshi were going, but were going on dates so I guess they don't count. Maru's going, and there's both Mikoshiba and Mikoto senpai. I also remember Kominato since he arranged this for us. "There's me, you, Kominato, Mikoshiba, Mikoto senpai, Maru and Izumi. So around seven of us."

"Too bad the others were busy." She sighed. "Especially that Satoshit kun. He's been so caught up with his Naomi chan it's like we aren't even childhood friends. At least Maru is there though."
