Alucard PoV

"Alucard!" My manager called. "Take your break before the dinner rush hours."

Alucard: "Okay."

I headed into the break area which doubled as changing room at the back of the restaurant. There I found Gusion who just changed into his uniform.

Gusion: "Yo!"

Alucard: "....."

Gusion: "Still not talking? It's been two weeks man. At least tell me what did I do?"

Alucard: "You got one hell of a girlfriend."

Gusion: "Right? She is great!"

Alucard: "She told me to not talk to you."

Gusion: "Oh, that's why... well, she is a bit possesive. I guess she loves me that much."

Alucard: "You're amazing in a way, able to put up with her."

Gusion: "Yeah, because I love her. She can get carried away sometimes, but she's honest with her emotions. She's a great girl."

Alucard: "You sound like a wife enduring domestic violence."

Gusion: "Is that so? Well don't mind her. We are best friends and we always will be."

Alucard: "Then don't blame me if it leads to bad blood between you lovebirds."

Gusion: "Hahaha."

Manager: "Gusion, your shift has started. Stop talking and get to work."

Gusion: "Y-yes!"

Under the watchful gaze of Manager, Gusion quickly leaves. But he soon comes back a minute later.

Gusion: "Oi Alucard. "

Alucard: "Forgot something?"

Gusion: "No, it's that reporter. She is here again."

Alucard: 'What a drag.'

Ignoring the mandated break time, I went back on the floor and headed straight to her table.

Alucard: "What can I get you?"

Woman: "Its been a while."

Alucard: "Have we met before?"

Woman: "So that's how you want to play it? Then nice to meet you. This is who I am."

With practiced ease, she offered up her business card. I already knew her, of course.

Mnesarete Granheirt, a news anchor. She first came to us in regards of Fanny's bullying. She wanted to interview us under pretense of collecting data on 'High school bullying problems'.

She found out about emergence syndrome while working on the story. Naturally she was skeptic. But if it's real, it be a big scoop for her. Hence she'd been following me since then.

Alucard: "What is it today?"

Mnesarete: "I'm in town for a story on Luminian Saffron, but I had the evening off so figured I'd meet you."

Alucard: "Maybe get yourself a hot date with a sports player instead."

Mnesarete: "Unfortunately during the season, the top players are always working. And I can have my date here anyway."

Alucard: "Not into old women, sorry."

Mnesarete: "You just don't understand a mature lady's charm."

Alucard: "Your order?"
