(Ash p.o.v)
I was with Angie, Temperance, Booth and Goodman at Angies 3D rendering station as we tried to figure out where the vault was.
"I entered all the modern and historical city plans, including ventilation shafts and tunnels, plus the newer schematics." Angie told as all the tunnel lines appeared.
"There's also oral accounts of tunnel construction and underground passages." Goodman added.
"Ooh, wow, All that exists under the city?" Seeley questioned as I looked at all possible points for the vault.
"Yes. What we can corroborate." Goodman stated.
"Good point, Bones, you know, not rushing off to find those guys."
"How accurate is this?" Temperance asked.
"Blue is modern, near 100% accurate. Yellow is historical."
"Estimate 80%." Goodman told.
"Red represents less exact renderings from stories, memoirs, accounts from city workers..."
"Unfortunately, if this treasure exists, it probably exists in one of the red tunnels." Me and Goodman told as one.
"Well, we found that Civil War victim near a cave-in. Maybe the treasure's on the other side?" Seeley suggested.
"Inductive, reductive or deductive?" Goodman asked Temperance causing her to think quickly.
"Deductive."
"As you wish. Ms. Montenegro, please remove all tunnels containing power, cable or utility lines."
"And fiber optics." Temperance added making Angie do just that.
"Yes...also steam tunnels and transit access?"
"Oh, what about diamond dust? You said that there was diamond dust in the old tunnels. There was also diamond dust on the Civil War guy...So... what? I'm not allowed to help now?"
"That's inductive logic."
"e agreed on deductive." Temperance stated.
"I'm sorry, I'm just, you know, trying to think outside your box." He told throwing his hands up quickly as a surrender.
'Oh! I think I'm getting close to figuring it out.'
"Can you indicate where we found Marni Hunter's body and the Civil War victim?" Temperance asked.
"'Cause, you know, if Marni was killed near the treasure and moved, and the Civil War guy was murdered by his accomplice..." Seeley told before Angie cut him off.
"Mm, gotcha."
"Can you connect the two bodies?" Temperance asked making Angie have lines appear and go through the tunnels till it reached as close as the two could get.
"This one's the closest." Seeley told pointing to the one that was.
"There's no way to get there." Goodman told making me step in now.
"Shut up everyone for just a second." I told closing my eyes and began to think what I just saw.
"Is she serious?" Seeley asked making them all shush him.
'D - D - D - Danger! Watch behind you!
There's a stranger, out to find you!
What to do? Just grab on to some Duck Tales.
Duck Tales! whooh ooh....'
I quickly opened my eyes and pointed to the area I believed to be correct.
"Right there. The vaults around that area."
"Ashley, we just stated there is no way for that to be correct." Goodman stated.
"True, if we don't take into account that it hasn't changed in the decades from it first being built." I told making Seeley understand where I was coming from.
"Wait, can you put some more blue lines back in that area? It's just a guess. Throwing it out there. Sue me." He told.
"And connect where Marni Hunter's body was found. Somewhere along that line is where the treasure is." Temperance added.
The lines started up again and we watched as the lines traveled till they connected where I had pointed.
"Told ya." I stated.
"What's that blue line?" Seeley asked.
"Storm sewer. H-15B." Angie told before Zack came in.
"The weapon was a Hanks climbing ax."
"You brilliant Bone boy!" I exclaimed.
"Alright. Now we go. That includes you Ashley." Seeley told making me and Temperance leave with him.
We were walking through the sewers and we had somehow been separated from the tactical team.
'I wish I was back at the lab. Zack didn't seem ok with me going with Seeley and Temerance.'
"This is one of the situations where I need a gun." Temperance told.
"No, you don't, okay. We're going to have six highly-trained FBI Tac Team members do the dirty work. We're just going to watch." He told before talking into his walkie talkie. "What's your 20, Tac Team Three?"
"According to this map, we're with you?"
"They aren't with us." Me and Temperance told as one.
"I realize that, Bones and Ashley. Re-orient, Tac Team Three."
"Suggest you wait for rendezvous, Booth." The dude told.
"Ten-four, Tac Team Three." He told as we stopped in our spot of the tunnel.
"Okay, I bet tick-tock team is here, two levels above us." Temperance stated.
"Sounds the most likely of the bunch." I added.
"Don't call them tick-tock team, okay? They're Tac Team. It's short for tactical." Seeley stated.
"I like tick-tock better for it." I told making me and Temperance give the other one a thumbs up.
'I kinda like how Temperance is one of the only people to keep a no contact profession with me.'
"Can I just have a gun at least until they get here?" Temperance asked making Seeley grab the one he kept hidden on his ankle and gave it to her.
"It's not for shooting rats. It's for psychos with climbing axes." He stated.
"Crazy world we live in where that is an actual sentence." I stated.
"So what do we do, just wait?" Temperance questioned.
"We just, uh, we reconnoiter." Seeley stated.
"I kinda like waiting. 'The worst part of life is waiting. The best part of life is having someone worth waiting for.'. One of my favourite quotes that I've read."
"You read?" Seeley questioned.
"Yes. I enjoy reading quite a lot, Zack and me are actually adding another bookshelf this weekend due to us needing more space for our books. We have a reading room."
He looked towards me with look of fondness, as well as heartbroken from it. I tilted my head to the side a little bit before he looked away and we all began to walk again.
'What was that about?'
We were walking down another tunnel with Seeley leading the way.
"Easy. Watch yourself."
"We are ok Seeley. Don't need to go all protective brother on us. I've already got two older brothers and an older sister who already do that. I don't need you doing it as well." I stated before we walked into a large section.
'Holy shit!'
"Wow. What do we got here?" He questioned before talking into the walkie again. "Tac Team Three, this is Booth. What's your six?"
"Stand by, Booth."
"They're lost." Temperance told before she noticed something on the ground and I followed after her.
"They're not lost." He told as she stood up with the thing she found so we could all look at it standing. "What's that, lucky quarter?"
"This could be the missing piece from Marni Hunter's skull." She told.
"Jesus." I spoke out of shock due to us standing around where she most likely died and we didn't know.
"Okay. Think she was killed here?" Seeley asked.
"That's a plausible conclusion."
"Don't get all gushy on me. Tick Tock Three."
"Did you just call us Tick Tock?" He questioned making me stifle my laughter.
"Tac Team Three, standby." He corrected before we heard some noise.
"Do you hear that?" She asked.
"Yeah." We both told.
We headed towards where we were hearing the noise, and discovered a small opening. We looked in to see all the treasures of the past, and of course the two guys in the process of stealing all the gold.
'I wanna shoot them. But I won't, cause Zack will be upset if I'm in jail and I'll be upset cause I can't hang out with Zack.'
"That's the blonde woman." Temperance told as we kept quiet to not alert them.
"This is locked. You know what, we got to get in there." Seeley stated.
"I am kinda strong, I could probably open in."
"How strong?"
"Remember the second case, where the door was broken by force?"
"Yeah?"
"I did that with my foot and just pushing on it."
"What the hell?!"
"Certain woods are easier to break, and I've had to make sure my legs are strong enough to not break."
"You got a bone thing?"
"No, I've been shot in one and I've had fractures in my bones."
"From your PI days?"
"....yeah. My PI days." I stated before Temperance jumped in, making us focus on what we should be doing now.
"Are we waiting for Tick Tock Three?"
"They might not find us for a week. If we go after them, these guys will take off. I want to catch them in the act of stealing." Seeley told.
"All right, we can go in through here." She told as she looked at the map we had and pointed towards a pipe covered in cobwebs.
'Maybe I'll be lucky enough to be bitten by a radioactive spider, so then I'll be a real life spider man.... But female.'
"Bones, we go in there, you are responsible for whoever is on your left. Okay, you put your gun on him." He told as we began to rush to where they were.
"Okay. How will I know whether or not to shoot?" She asked.
"Wondering whether or not to shoot, you shoot." He told.
"And let you do the talking." She added.
"Yeah, well, I took that one for granted." He admitted.
"We are a strange group." I stated making sure I didn't outrun them.
