~(episode 10: The Women at the Airport)~

Ash has been on holidays for a few weeks now and I've missed her being around. Especially since Booth has been glaring at me now whenever we are in the same room so I just glare back till he stops for the time being.
'When are you coming home Ash?'
I was standing with Dr. Goodman and Dr. Brennan over some skeleton remains in the Bone room.
"These remains, dating from the Iron Age, were found at the bottom of shaft three at the site. There were five sets of human remains found. This is the only one found whole." Dr.Goodman explained.
"He's in good shape." I added before Dr. Brennan continued.
"Fifteen hundred years old, he shouldn't look this good."
"Which is why we're here. We're going to either authenticate the find as a set of human remains from the Iron Age ever found or dash the hopes of a thousand scholars. Let me know how it turns out." Dr. Goodman stated.
'Seems he doesn't want to be here for this.'
"Dr. Goodman, this is extremely prestigious. Aren't you going to be part of the team?" Dr. Brennan asked as we both looked towards him.
"No, I have an institution to run."
"Didn't you use to be an Archeologist?" I asked since Ash once mentioned it when she was showing her skills to me early on in our friendship.
"Yes, Mr. Addy. Thanks for reminding me." He told before leaving.
'Should be interesting.'
"X-rays, pictures, we're going to do this without touching the actual skeleton as much as possible." She told me.
"Kid gloves?" I asked with it being more of a joke then seriousness.
"Latex should be all right." She told before she began to leave only to stop and look at me again. "Zack, were you being metaphoric?"
"I decided to give it a shot, which is also metaphoric." I stated.
"Ashley shouldn't be gone for too long. I know your missing her being around." She told before leaving me with the remains.
'Hopefully.'

(Ash p.o.v)

I was reading a book in one of those chairs that film crew people have and I was not sitting how I should have.
"Bunny, sit properly." Edith told making me look towards her.
"But why?!"
"Because your going to mess the chair up."
"And? Adds character ya know."
"What's wrong?"
"I'm missin' my Bone and Bug Boys! I can hardly talk 'n text cause of this, 'n it's made me realise that not bein' able to talk to my boys makes shit borin' ya know?"
"Wow you really leaned into your accent there."
"I don't mask in front of people who know."
"I'm sure they aren't doing anything interesting recently."
"I've got no clue. We've hardly talked." I told before my phone began to ring.
"Might be them. We still have loads of time till we gotta head to the interview." She told before going to where the others were and I quickly picked my phone up.
"Ello ello ello! This is Ashley speaking, how may I be of help today?"
"Ashley. It's Temperance."
"What up Doc?! Need my knowledge on somethin' or ya just missin' me?"
"Neither. I was just letting you know that me and Booth are going to be in Hollywood for a case. Angela said you were here and that we should meet up since you would be missing us." She told making me sit up in the chair.
"Still at the airport?"
"We will be landing shortly I believe. They had a phone that I was able to use to call you since Booth didn't give me a chance to do it earlier."
"Don't get a car or nothin'! I'll meet you there!" I told
"That's not needed."
"Too late already headin' there. See ya when you land!" I exclaimed before hanging up and rushing to my siblings.
"What's got you rushin' Ash Ash?" Peter asked
"Temperance and the fed are in town so imma meet up with them. I'll be back in time for the meeting!" I exclaimed before rushing off to my car.
'The only time I will be happy someone was murdered.... I am definitely going to hell.'

"You called?!" I exclaimed as they walked out of the airport.
"Ash?" Seeley questioned.
"Yeah. Temperance said you two were working a case, so I came to pick you up. Also don't call me Ash."
"I told you, that you didn't need to." She told as I opened the back of my car so I could help them put their bags in.
"Gets me out of doing work with Denis and his brother as well as all the other shit I have to do. Seeley give me your bags."
"This is a 1955 Henry fords fairline."
"I'm wildly aware." I told taking his bags and put them in.
"How did you rent one?"
"Rent?"
"Yeah Rent. Because I've seen your car."
"Oh, no this is also my car. You are also allowed to stay at my place here, granted my siblings also live there."
"That's fine we have a hotel." Temperance told
"Alright. The offer is there if you change your mind. Let's go."
I closed the back and walked to the front passenger side and pulled the seat down and forwards so one of them could climb in before heading to my seat. I opened the roof so it was easier for them.
"Can I drive?" Seeley asked
"No. Only because she is my baby and I know how you drive. Now please get in."
Seeley ended up sitting in the back and once Temperance was in I began to drive to where we had to go. Half way through the drive my phone went off making me hand it to Temperance.
"Pick it up and put it on speaker please."
Once she did it my brothers voice spoke.
"Bunny! Where the hell are you?" Edgar asked
"Temperance and Seeley are in town working a case. Temperance notified me and so I went to pick them up to save them money. I told you I was meeting up with them."
"Denis is freaking out."
"Why?"
"According to Marcus, they gave us the wrong meeting time which means it's actually in half an hour instead of two hours."
"How did they fuck up that bad?!"
"We think there was a mix up with us and some other people. But are you able to get here before the meeting?"
"I'll make it there as soon as I can. I'll drop the good doctor and the agent where they are needed and head to you. Is it alright if I keep your things for now to save me time?" I asked as I looked quickly to Temperance.
"I'm ok with it."
"Seeley?"
"Sure. As long as you don't lose it."
"Don't worry I won't. I see you when I get there Edgar and tell Denis to chill the fuck out."
"I'll try. NO DENIS I WILL NOT TELL HER TO BREAK THE LAW! CAUSE SHE WILL GET ARRESTED AND MAKE THIS WORSE!" He told before hanging up.
"Which brother was that?" Temperance asked
"The oldest. Edgar if you want names."
"Edgar Harper. Sounds fitting." Seeley told
"It was originally not meant to be Harper. My mother got married to my dad just before they were born so she was able to get their name to be Harper."
"How does that work?" They both asked
"They would have been mums maiden name but it was changed when she got married so that's what they put down. If she didn't then she most likely would have put her maiden name instead." I told as I gave a shrug to it.
"Weird family you've got Ash."
"Don't call me Ash, Seeley. Besides you have no idea how weird we can get."
