Shalini blinked her eyes twice. "Did I just saw your smile?"
He grinned in response. "How- how could you smile when your girl is going to get engaged with someone else?? Have you gone mad?" She raised her voice.
She desperately waited for sharing this with him and so that he could find a way but there he was grinning at her like an idiot.
"Kullachi relax..." He was still smiling at the cute antics she was doing in confusion.
"What? If you keep smiling, then I will marry whoever that stupid coming tomorrow to meet me" she said hoping that he would stop his prank and give her an idea for tomorrow.
"Ok... Go and marry him then. It'll be better if you did that tomorrow itself" he said with a mocking smile which was more like a smirk.
"Huh?? Did you get hurt anywhere? Are you drunk?? Did you lose your memory?? You forgot me...!!??? You forgot our love...!!!!???" Her voice raised more than before for each sentences.
"Stop reading those wattpad books" he said with a blank face.
"Oh no. You are leaving me just because I read books?" She sniffled.
"Are you serious? You think I'll survive without you?" He laughed a little.
"Then why are you behaving like this?" She said narrowing her eyes.
"Because... I'm the one who's coming to meet you tomorrow"
"What?"
"You heard me..."
"How? How is this possible?" She raised her voice and a smile etched on her lips.
"My parents came here today. You didn't see them?"
"Here? Today? When? I didn't- Ahh, may be I slept at that time?" She answered him with a question.
"They talked with your parents and we are coming to get us officially engaged" he said with a pleasant smile which warmed her heart up immediately.
"Really?" She could feel her cheeks reddened and got a humm and a kiss on her both palms in response. Nishanth explained about his Mom's plan.
She couldn't control herself from grinning. She was more than happy then. They talked for some time and he noticed the sleep in her eyes asking for permission to take over. He chuckled to himself and told her to go to bed. She went to bed not before kissing his wrists. He watched her laying on her stomach. She watched him till her eyes closed involuntarily.
He admired how her cheek was pressed to the pillow, parting her lips a little. He smiled at the way she wrapped her hand around another pillow. He wished to be in the place of that pillow then. He pouted with a smile and started moving from there. He drove off to his home. He reached his room and started dreaming about the next day.
