"Kalen, are you going to come and get dressed?"

"No" he mumbled as he continued to scribble all over a piece of paper. It may only be a scribble but honestly I think it's the best drawing I've ever seen. That scribble is an achievement.

"K?"

"No" I released a breath as I glanced to Hunter who was sat beside me, staring up at me with his beautiful doe eyes.

"Kalen Joseph."

"NO!" he dropped his head on the floor and suddenly started to scream. I ran my fingers through my hair and shook my head. He isn't even two yet. This behaviour has become more common over the last week, the word 'no' is suddenly his favourite. He's also still having nightmares and if they don't stop soon, I'm seriously thinking of taking him to see someone.

"Let's get you dressed then, Handsome" I lowered Hunter down onto the bed and grabbed his clothes. He entertained himself with his teething ring but he every so often took glances at Kalen who was having a complete breakdown. If he doesn't calm himself soon, he'll make himself sick. "Kalen?" I tried once, focusing back on changing Hunter as he just continued to scream. "Are you ready to spend the day with daddy, Baby Boy?" I pressed a kiss to his cheek as I pulled him up to stand. "You look so handsome" he giggled as I blew a raspberry against his cheek. The crying suddenly stopped and I glanced to Kalen who was breathing heavily as he lay on the floor. "Kalen?"

"Mama" he pushed himself to stand and then toddled over to me. I lifted him up onto the bed, his arms tight around my neck.

"Are we ready to get dressed now?" he nodded into my neck. He went straight back to being the usual giggling little boy that he is as I dressed him. Kalen and Hunter entertained each other as I got dressed, grabbing my phone as it buzzed.

Heather: I won't be able to pick the boys up honey!! I'm sorry.

I released a breath as I glanced to Kalen and Hunter. Looks like I'm taking them to Odell. I haven't seen Odell in nearly a week, the last time was at Lauren's party. I've tried to message him, wanting to at least have some sort of grown up conversation but it's like he doesn't care because he doesn't reply.

Me: Okay!! Thanks for letting me know.

"Are we both ready for daddy?" Hunter dropped back against the bed as Kalen stood and began to bounce.

"Yeah daddy" he squealed as he bounded towards me. I lightly laughed as I caught him, cradling him against my hip. I pressed a kiss to his temple and then glanced down at Hunter.

"You okay, Baby?" I managed to lift him onto my other hip. I strapped them both in their stroller, grabbed the diaper bag and then headed out of the hotel.

"Daddy" Kalen squealed as Odell pulled open his front door.

"Hi Bud" he ran his fingers through Kalen's curls as he locked his arms around Odell's legs. He then glanced up at Hunter sat on my hip. "Hi Hunt" he giggled as he leant towards Odell.

"You-Your mom said she couldn't pick them up" he silently nodded as he took Hunter and sat him on his hip. An awkward silence settled around us, a heaviness instantly settling in my stomach. "Odell, I-I hate this."

"Hate what?" his eyebrows scrunched together as he refused to meet my gaze.

"The hostility between us, the awkwardness" his eyes burnt into mine and the lack of emotion in them made my heart break.

"Well who's to blame for that."

"You're an ass" tears burnt at the backs of my eyes. I glanced down at Kalen as he wrapped his arms around my legs. I quickly sniffled, wiping rapidly at my cheeks before I sunk to his level. "You have a fun day with daddy, okay? I love you"

"Love you" I pressed a kiss to his cheek and then pushed myself to stand.

"I love you too, Baby" I leant in to press a kiss to Hunter's cheek, he babbled back his reply. "I'll see you later" I refused to meet Odell's gaze as I spoke, turning instantly to leave.

"Demi?" I shook my head as I ignored him, continuing down the driveway and towards my car. I slid into the driver's seat, tears beginning to flow down my cheeks. I glanced up at the front door, lightly smiling as Kalen stood in the doorway, waving over at me. I gave him a wave as I backed out of the driveway, my heart completely broken in my chest. I've really lost everything.

"I hope you enjoy your meal" I smiled around the family table, my heart stinging in my chest. That should be me and Odell. I shook my head as I walked back towards the counter.

"You okay, Dem?" I glanced over at Lucy, forcing a smile onto my face.

"Yeah, I'm fine" I began to play with the cloth that sat on the counter.

"You don't sound so sure?" I shrugged, beginning to clean the counter as I tried to stop my tears from welling up in my eyes. I have cried far too much today. I glanced briefly back up at the family that I just served.

"I just-I miss him and I-I know he's being an ass but..." I shook my head as I glanced to Lucy who had a smile full of sympathy plastered across her face. "I still love him. I never really stopped. I just want my family back. I don't even care at this point if he did cheat. I miss him" she wrapped her arm around me and gave me a light squeeze. "I wouldn't blame him if he didn't take me back though. I don't really deserve it" she didn't say anything because there probably wasn't anything she could say. I glanced up at the sound of the bell above the door, smiling lightly at Jordan but the serious look on her face made my eyebrows scrunch together. "Hey Jord. Everything okay?"

"You haven't seen?" my heart suddenly began to hammer against my chest. She looked on the brink of breaking down, tears were lining her lower lid.

"I haven't seen anything. What are you talking about?" she went to speak but stopped herself, the words seemed to get stuck in her throat. She grabbed her phone from her pocket and turned it for me to see. In that moment, my world crumbled around me.

Odell Beckham Jr has reportedly been involved in a head on collision with a drunk driver. It has also been revealed that his two young children were present at the time. The condition of the MMA Champion and his family is still unknown.
