I walked out of the bathroom stall and over to the sink to wash my hands. After, I fixed my black beanie in the mirror, careful not to pull it too far down, lest it smudge my dark eye makeup. As I went to open the door, a little girl came in and gasped when she saw me. I didn't consider myself to look that scary, My black ripped jeans with chains, dark red top and fingerless gloves were nothing more than a bit unusual, but it was much more likely that she was staring at my eyes rather than my clothing. I had only ever seen one other person who's eyes were the same colour as mine. I didn't bother to smile at her as I enjoyed the reaction of somewhat fearful awe. I just opened the door a little wider and walked past her. As I walked back out, I noticed a woman spot me and quickly rush over to the bathroom. I assumed the small girl from before was her daughter, and she was probably going to make sure she was okay. I rolled my eyes, although I wasn't exactly the kindest soul, I never hurt anybody. I made my way through the small crowds of people in the hotel party room, ignoring the stares and rude comments from the surrounding bodies. I met eyes with the familiar pair of red eyes that I had come here with. I walked over and sat back down beside him. "Make anyone cry while you were in there?" He teased me, looking up from his drink. "Hmm. Not sure, I didn't stick around to see." I replied before cracking a side smile. He nodded and took another sip of his bubbling drink. "What is that anyways?" I asked. He shrugged. "Some sort of flavoured water" I scrunched my nose up. "Ew, I hate those things, why not just have regular water?" He now scrunched up his nose at my comment. "Too plain, besides Tyler used to drink it a lot after shows and stuff." I kept my gaze down, nodding slightly. I didn't say anything further on it. I knew Blurry didn't like talking about Tyler. He was trapped inside of him for a long time, and only now that Tyler had moved on to other things, had Blurryface finally been able to come out. He now lived completely separate from him, I had met him just over a year after Tyler had released him. We got along really well. Although we didn't talk about it much, I knew everything about Blurry's past. Tyler had created him as a sort of outlet for all his negative thoughts, he also used him for his music, even named a whole record after him. Problem was, after a while Blurry became much more than just a dark alter-ego, and by the time Tyler realized what was happening, it was too late, and he had created a full blown personality with a mind of his own. After a while, it became too much for him to bear, and he managed to kick Blurry out. Now Blurry was his own person, although he shared many characteristics of his old host. The biggest thing being that he looked almost identical to him, except that his neck and hands were naturally a dark black colour, something that Tyler used to paint on to symbolize the character, as well as his deep red eyes that were the same shade as mine. We usually lay low, but every so often some fans of Tyler's band would find us and mistake Blurry for him. It was usually annoying, but sometimes we would get a kick out of it by saying something that would be completely unexpected from Tyler, or fans would wonder why he was hanging out with another girl without his wife. This would sometimes get Tyler in trouble, but the rumours circulating about his behaviour would quickly be dismissed by committed fans proving that he was busy off doing something else at the time, and the original witnesses would be left thinking they had gone mad. I came out of my memories when I heard Blurryface clear his throat and put the empty glass down. "Well, I'm about done here." He said as his dark eyes glanced around the room. "Agreed. What do you wanna do now though?" I asked. "I don't know we could just walk around the hotel and see if we can freak anybody out." He suggested with a smirk. "Why not?" I shrugged and stood up, grabbing his hand to pull him up. We got a few nasty glares as we walked out together. "Can't you just be a normal couple?" Someone whispered behind us. Blurry turned around to meet eyes with a brunette girl in 5 inch heels and a pink dress. "Nah, we're good." He retorted. I placed my hands on his shoulder and looked over it to see the girl too. "Besides, normal's boring." I added before taking Blurry's hand again. When we got to the elevator, there was no one in it. "Shame." Blurryface remarked. "Oh well, at least we can enjoy the music." I said. I winced a little as a terribly familiar tune reached my ears.
"I'm fairly local, I've been around, I've seen the streets you're walking down"
"Sorry, I didn't realize." I apologized looking up at him. He shook his head a bit. "Nah, It's alright, this one isn't too bad anyways." He said. I raised an eyebrow. "I wrote most of it after all." He clarified. "No wonder I like it so much." I said taking a step closer to him. Just then, the elevator dinged and the door opened on a middle floor. A loud scream came from an old woman standing in the doorway. She continued to stand there, jaw open for about 10 seconds. I looked at Blurryface. "Should we do something?" I asked. Blurry waved his dark hand in front of her. "Hello? Lady?" No answer. He shrugged. I quickly pressed the "close elevator doors" button before anyone else could disturb us. "Well at least we got one." I said. "Whatever, as long as I'm with you it's all good." He said, our matching eyes meeting, both carrying a small smile.
