big bird, wings of steel, shiny enough to see me own desire reflected back. i stand 6 feet away when i see your claws. you're standing in defence. who are you scared of? me? big bird, your ability to see me as a threat flatters me very much. big bird, i could have walked away if it weren't for the wound on your neck. no, i don't dream of nursing you back to health. i don't have that power and if i did i wouldn't waste it on you. big bird, your wound shows me you can be hurt. big bird, your wound is the knife up my sleeve. big bird, understand my need to ensure things can be killed before loving them. big bird, i will touch you now.
