Helen went to Ruby and Jade who had completed their birdhouses.
"Mm-hmm. Way to grow Buttercups." She congratulated them. "You two have earned your birdhouse badges."
She handed them out to Ruby and Jade.
"Ahhhh," I sighed. "I didn't even get a chance to try."
"Now, I only need one more badge to get my sunflower pin." said Jade. "Just like you!"
"That's great!" I congratulated them. Peg and Meg come close to me.
"We know how you feel." Peg comforts me. "We didn't get a badge either."
"You'll get one just keep trying." I reassured them.
"We're going to." says Peg.
"You too, Sofia." Meg encouraged me.
"I will." I responded. I looked to see Baileywick stumbling a little bit. "I just have to make sure I do the next project by myself."
Helen Hanshaw came up to Baileywick and spoke. "Hey there, Groundhog. Remember the Buttercups' Motto: Buttercups! Buttercups! Make some room!"
"Buttercups! Buttercups! Watch us bloom!" Baileywick finished the others half of the Buttercup chant.
"That's right! So it's time you made some room so your Buttercup can bloom." advises Ruby's Mother immediately. "We can't do it all for them, or they'll never learn. Back on the trail, Buttercups!"
We all lined up on the trail again and we came to a stream.
"Oh! Allow me!"
Baileywick pulled out a pink carpet and spread it across the stream, but Mrs. Hanshaw kicked the royal back across the stream. I smiled. She winked and responds to Baileywick in a form but gentle scolding manner. "Hold up there, Groundhog! Red carpets might work at the palace but Buttercups can do this by themselves!"
"But its so slippery!" complained Baileywick. Excuse me Fauna didn't help me hope across a stream at RPA that was far more than slippery than this one for the Princess Test. I have had a lot of experience in the woods friends."
I got to hop right across the stream using the stepping stones in them. And walked onto the shore and twirling around in a happy mood and it was a hurrah spin stretching my arms to the sky I did on the other side of the stream by the rest of my troop. Finally something I could do myself.
