Chapter 3

It was about half past 9 when I arrived at my destination. It was outside a cafe. I got out of the car and opened the door to the cafe. The bells jingled t my arrival and I walked towards the counter. A blond, short girl was there and smiled as she saw me coming. I too was excited to see her. We're always busy with our own lives we barely have times to actually meet up.

"Hey, its been long"

I nodded in agreement. Even though it's only been about two or three weeks. I looked down the menu and grinned. Oh no. I loved the breakfast served here I'm pretty sure I spend all my money on one breakfast. 'Control yourself' I kept telling myself. After sometime of looking and not making up my mind, I heard a laugh.

"We make so much money just because of you, Hange. Just select one. Probably won't end in sometime. And I could give you a discount", she smiled winking.

" Thanks Petra"

I looked a bit longer. Then finally came to a decision.
"I'll have the cinnamon twists, thank you". She tapped a few buttons and called someone out. A Raven black haired man came out.

"Okay time to swap, Petra. Staying behind and getting orders is not my thing", he frowned. And then had a change of facial expression when he saw me.

"Common customer. Nice to see you", he joked.

" Nice to see you too, Levi. I already asked for some Cinnamon twists". He paused for a bit, shocked.

"Just that?" , he asked. I let out a little laugh. Usually I have everything for breakfast. Petra came out with my order and placed it on the counter. She looked around for a while before looking back at me.

"No Moblit?" , she asked. I shook my head. Levi placed a cup of tea on the table. Someone came up and asked for whatever they asked for.

As Petra dealt with the customer, Levi stayed to talk to me. I didn't need to have a different seat like the rest of the customers. I had a private and reserved space being a regular and well-known customer. He didn't say anything for a while. Actually unlike normal I broke the silence.

"You and Petra seem to be in a healthy relationship" , I began.

"Okay what is it?", He questioned me as if this always happened. Okay fine it does. Levi and I have been friends since high school and pretty much know each others motive. Most of the time, I'm too obvious. He stared at me still waiting for a reply. I had one but didn't know how to word it.

"Is this to do with Moblit? ", he asked again.

"Yeah but it's not easy to explain. I just feel uneasy. Like something's wrong. I don't know why. But you've noticed it too haven't you? We're not as close as we used to be and then have to deal with work too. Its stressful. I deal with the same idiots everyday. Were having to put more effort into helping them in preparation for their exams. I mean its our job isn't it?"

He listened and then gave me the dumbest reply. "You're problem".

Those words completely snapped me. I was glad I didn't choke on my tea. Then he burst out laughing after seeing my reaction. It was unlike Levi to laugh easily. He was difficult sometimes and not an easy guy to amuse or impress. Petra must have done something legendary and worth a lot to have managed to win his heart.

"I'm joking", he started still trying to calm himself down. "Your reactions are golden. Anyone ever told you that?". I shook my head. Asides him, no one else has.

" it's your relationship, Four eyes. I can't really do anything. But if you want advice then I guess you can speak to him about. Sit him down. Tell him how you feel about you two and work something out. And as for work, you really should take it easy. Nanaba said you stay up too late these days and don't get enough sleep. That's not really going to help your health much. I can't really say anything considering I don't really sleep as well. But I try now. Don't look up to me as someone with best advices though. I could completely be wrong ". I smiled and had a little sip of my tea.

" thanks Levi. It doesn't matter if the advice is crap or not. You were kind enough to still try and help out"

"Tch, don't call me kind shitty glasses". What a change in mood. A second he's laughing so hard, next he's back to normal Levi. He began to move quickly and got a cup of water.

" hey are you okay? "

"Yeah. Just a bit... Hot", he replied. I finished my breakfast and got up. I walked over to Petra to pay.

I scanned my card and smiled politely. "I'll be taking my leave now. See you later". Levi joined her and they both waved. I waved back and left the cafe.

A/N: This came out sooner than last Chapter. I was bored so I just decided to make the next chapter. Although I love writing, I'm not the best at it but I pray this is good and entertaining enough 😸. I don't know if Levi was slightly out of character laughing (it seemed so to me) but it just fits in with it all. He has a quick change in mood :'). I'll try and also post the next chapter. also apologies if each one is too short 😭.
