*Hange's POV*
It was almost midnight and I was in bed, facing the ceiling. I hadn't shut my eyelids no matter how much I wanted to and my ears are currently crying out for help. I had tried using the pillows to cover my ears, trying to drift to dream land and escape this current cruel reality and even listening to music. But nothing could block out the sounds coming out from Levi's bedroom. At this point, I don't think they're even aware someone else is in this house. I wanted to barge into the room and scream "Be quiet!" but who am I to do that?
When I could no longer hear anything and was sure they had both gone to bed, I got up and headed to the kitchen to get water. Minutes after I heard footsteps and picked up a knife just in case I was about to be robbed. My heart was pounding but soon after, the lights flicked on and there was a small Levi without a shirt on.
"What the actual fuck, Four-eyes. No one else but me and you live in this house. Petra's only here for today"
"She arrived yesterday. It's just about passed midnight". He looked at me like he didn't give a shit. Which I assume he actually didn't " but I still thought someone broke in"
He stared at me for a few minutes and I looked back at him only this time, I was focused on the abs.
"Did we wake you up?" , he asked pulling me back to reality. I shook my head.
"I didn't actually get to go to sleep"
"Oh? Is that so? Damn it, I told Petra to keep her volume down. Sorry about that"
I shook my head and gulped down the glass of water. Petra eventually came down half asleep.
"Levi..."
He turned round as she fell into him. All for that romantic nonsense.
"Get off."
" I didn't see you in bed, so I came to look for you", she replied rubbing her eyes. Then hers met mine "oh. You're still here"
Have I really been that invisible? I headed out of the kitchen and went to my room in attempt to fall asleep just before they both start again.
Last night wasn't merciful. But I made it. Even though I would really love to get more sleep. I got out of my room after getting ready for work and saw Levi in the living room. I looked around. If Petra was still here, she would be sitting on the couch next to Levi, arms linked together and her all over the place attempting to get his attention. He was reading the book I got from the library.
"Where's Petra?"
" she went home early this morning. She has some family business to attend to"
I nodded in understanding. He got the car keys after realising I was waiting for him.
The day had gone by really fast. It all seemed strange, lately things go by so quickly. And before I knew it, Levi and I were now home. A few hours ago, Levi was on the couch reading 'How to be a woman'. I don't know how that would even benefit him.
Levi had gone to help Gunther, Eld and Oluo. He hadn't been there to help them in a long while so he wanted to make up for it. Whereas I went to my bedroom on my laptop for God knows how long.
*Levi's POV*
We had closed the Cafe and the other three had left. I headed upstairs exhausted only to be welcomed with silence. Made me question of Hange was still around. It was awfully quiet. No noise from bumping and walking into walls or doors. I slowly opened her door only to see her so focused on the laptop in front of her. I didn't even care to know what she was doing.
"Geez..." , I muttered taking her glasses off and sitting next to her "Are you that dumb?"
She looked at me frowning "That was in preparation for the 5 classes I have to teach tomorrow. Is the Cafe closed?"
"Yes. Dumbass. Have you showered?"
She screamed "HEH?! I HAD A SHOWER THIS MORNING!"
I paid no attention to her. And when she had the idea that I wasn't having any excuses, she stood up and looked down at me.
"Wash that greasy hair of yours as well, shitty glasses"
She rolled her eyes and grabbed a towel and some extra clothes before leaving the room. I heard mutters and then door shutting. Then minutes after, I heard water running. I looked around the room. Already in a mess. And like I always do, did and will always do, I cleaned thing up. Put the clutters of paper in one neat pile and cleaned a bit of the dusty areas. A few minutes later, the door swung open. Hange walked in now in her PJs with a small towel round her neck to dry her wet hair. Something about it looked attractive. A dripping Hange without glasses. Not that it mattered if she had glasses on or not.
"You should use the hair dryer. It's better"
"I didn't bring mine"
I got up and headed for my bedroom. Then returned with my own hair dryer.
"Sit." , I told her and she did as I said. I plugged it in and sat on the little couch behind her.
"Wait what are you doing?"
" what does it look like to you stupid? "
She sat in silence, looking at her toes which at one point she started wiggling as I dried her hair.
"You know, ever since I've moved here, you've made me seem useless. Like I'm not helping in anything at all"
I slapped the back of her hair as she yelled out.
"Ah what was that for?!"
"I'm done", I told her. "Go to bed, it's late. I'll see you tomorrow" .
I couldn't sleep that night. I couldn't sleep until I find out what she meant by making her feel useless. Damn four eyes.
Like every other morning, I got up and went downstairs to make Hange's breakfast and lunch. I was making her pancakes as I felt it was a must to make her different things every morning. At least. And I also knew she wouldn't wake up even to that loud duck quacking. But sooner or later I heard loud thumps from upstairs and banging and I instantly knew she was awake. Then the footsteps coming down the stairs. But instead, I heard a loud bang and I could've sworn my heart skipped a beat. I ran to the source of the sound and saw Hange on the floor. Her eyes tightly shut and she looked like she was in utter pain. She has just fallen down flights of stairs due to the fact she was in a hurry.
"Hey. Hey are you okay?"
" No", she winced "I-I can't get up. My ribs hurt really bad"
Out of panic, I got up and called the ambulance. They were going to take sometime to arrive. But Hange slowly losing consciousness wasn't a good sign and I could only predict she fell hard. And on her ribs too. She was lying on her side's when I saw her. I got her phone out.
She had told me the password to her phone before. We both did. It's just been ages since that happened and she could've changed it. But I still tried.
I typed in the numbers '050925'. Ridiculous password. Anyone could guess that. And it worked. I scrolled through her contacts trying to find someone from the school she taught in. Then I saw Nanaba's. I quickly called her. My hands shaking at the point. She thankfully answered.
"Nanaba! Some stuff just happened and I need you to tell Mr Eyebrows that Hange can't work today"
"Wait why? What happened?"
"She's fallen down flights of stairs. The ambulance should be here soon. I'll end their careers if they don't arrive within five minutes"
"Okay, thanks for letting me know Levi. I'll come as soon as possible"
And now, all I had to do was sit and wait, with Hange in my arms for the ambulance to arrive.
A/N: I am starting to doubt myself on whether this is a good book. I don't know how many chapters I'll write.for this to come to an end but I really love this ship and would like to make it really amazing and enjoyable. Enjoy reading it.😀😀
