Chapter 5

*Hange's POV*

Moblit and I both got into bed back to back. He was on his phone and so was I. Looks like neither of us were ready to fall asleep. I was texting Nanaba about a future project to be done in school. Nanaba was my colleague and also my best friend asides Levi.

The conversation wasn't flowing as much because she kept leaving even while she was online. After about half an hour, I got a text from Levi. It was unlike him to text this late. He might be awake judging that he's an insomniac but probably not on social media.

I opened his text and read it through. Then read again. About 3 times.

"Hey, Four eyes, Petra wanted to go out tomorrow. She said it was up to me to pick where we were going. You could come along if you want. You and Moblit. And you can choose where were going. Don't keep me waiting"

I turned to Moblit asking him if he was okay with it. He said he didn't see anything wrong in it so I replied saying "sure". Another thing was to think about where we were going. I finally decided to go with a city centre. I told Levi about it and he said it sounded okay. Luckily for me I managed to fall asleep earlier than 1 A.M. Which was a record.

I was woken up by a really annoying sound. It was a duck quacking. For a second, I thought there was an actual duck in the room before I realised that it was my alarm. I've been told how ridiculous and noisy it was but at least it helped wake me up. I shook Moblit a little bit. He groaned covering his head with the duvet. I poked him harder this time. He starting murmuring. It took time before I realised what he was saying.

" oh for God's sake can't a man get his own quality sleep? ". He kept murmuring that and I couldn't help but giggle. I left him and went to take a shower as unusual as it seems.

The soap got in my eyes and after minutes of swearing and muttering under my breath, I washed the soap out. What a wonderful way to start the day.

I didn't bother making breakfast. If we're going to the city centre we're likely to walk past some mini restaurant. Moblit woke up later on and came rushing downstairs putting on a coat.

" I'm so sorry. I overslept "

"Its fine", I told him "Were not leaving for another five minutes. Levi planned to meet us at ten and you don't need the coat. It's pretty hot today"

He paused and looked at me. "Levi?"

I nodded.

"What does Levi have to do with our date?" . Oh. When he said we were going out he meant like going out. As in on a date. Not some sort of apology for coming home late or anything.

"But you agreed with us meeting up". He stared blankly at me. He either forgot that he said it was okay or he wasn't thinking when he said so.

" I wasn't thinking straight when you asked me. I was busy. Cancel it. Tell him we can't make it"

"What no! One, I did want to go to the city centre. Two, I can't cancel it. I already told him we would be coming. Petra is too. It'll be rude to cancel it like that". He groaned before grabbing the car keys. As soon as we got into the car I asked him if He was okay.

" yeah I just wished I was paying more attention when you asked me. I wanted it to just be the two of us"

"Oh I'm sorry. The more the merrier, I guess"
He managed to calm down and drive off.

*Levi's POV*

It was almost ten and four eyes wasn't here yet. She probably forgot. I mean it sounds like her. Petra was constantly asking me who I was waiting for. I didn't tell her yesterday. Because she would say I was inviting others to ruin our relationship. In reality, I invited Hange and Moblit to pull them closer and maybe help Hange feel more relieved after her week.

After ages of waiting she arrived with Moblit. She was there smiling and linking arms with Moblit. That's a good thing. She walked a bit faster pulling Moblit along and waving at us.

"YOU INVITED HANGE?!" , Petra whispered whilst shouting at the same time.

"Yes"

"But why?! This was meant to be the two of us"
I shrugged "the more the merrier"

It was obvious she wanted to explode at that moment but she kept her cool. which was good because I wasn't going To spend time arguing with her. Moblit didn't looked excited to see me. Which made me wonder why. I mean Hange should've told him we were coming too. But if not then I guess that's completely fine.

"LEVI! PETRA!" , Hange squealed as she got closer "Sorry for making you two wait. One of us overslept"

"sounds like you", I told her as a joke.

"It wasn't me", she said glaring at me even though it was clear she wanted to laugh.

For a start we stood around a water fountain. It was quite huge and was the best place to stay since it was scorching hot. There were little kids playing around it. Made me worry about their outfits. Petra began tugging me asking me to join her in splashes and other Child's play. This was her definition of being romantic. Not mine.

" come on Levi. Stop being so difficult ", she whined still pulling me. Hange was with Moblit. Both sat next to each other. Hange's head was rested on Moblit's shoulder and he was holding her hands. For sometime I admired them before I heard an angry Petra.

" LEVI! DO SOMETHING! This isn't the date I planned for both of us". This was a date?! She really should make everything specific. Or else everything would be confusing.

Well, too late now. I invited Hange and her man, no changing that. I took her hands and sat her next to me. My hands wrapped round her waist, she was still muttering under her breath but then gave up.

I eventually got tired of having my hands over my eyes to block out the sun. I was saved because right in front of me was Hange.

"I'm hungry. Let's get Ice cream", she grinned.

A/N: I will repeat this is my first fanfic ✍ coz I love writing. Again, doesn't make me good at it but PLEASE BE PATIENT. I PROMISE IT WILL GET BETTER (I think. And I hope 👀😅 )
