*Levi's POV*

Like any other nights, I was finding it difficult to fall asleep. Still staring at the ceiling and hoping to at least shut my eyes. It was as difficult as always. I slowly started starting closing my eyes when I heard my phone ringing. This is not happening.

I looked at my phone and saw the name "shitty glasses" written. Reluctantly and lazily I answered the call.

"Hello..." , I began groaning.

"Levi... I'm parked outside you half cafe, half house. Please come and meet me there". There was a slight crack in her voice.

"Wait wha-"

She didn't even let me speak before ending the call. I stood up groaning and sliding my slippers on before opening my bedroom door, walking across the sitting room, taking the stairs, opening the back door that led to the garden, walking round the half house half cafe as she put it and finally seeing Hange's car. Seriously the journey. Her window was wound down and her head was in her hands.

I walked to the car ready to make some lame joke that no one but her would find funny before I saw her state. She looked a royal mess and looked like she had gone through real shit. Her ponytail was messier than usual, her eyes were puffy and red and I could see a water bottle next to her with splashes of water all over her.

"I don't want to hear it. Just come in"

She looked up at me like I was some God.

"And don't look at me like that", I added.

I led her through into the house. Same way I took to meet her in her car. And each time she made it clear she had been crying for so long. As soon as we got in, I took her to a deserted room I was planning on turning into a super mini classroom for Petra. She wanted to start helping kids and tutor them in there. There was a little Futon and the end and came up with a ridiculous but only idea I had.

" you can sleep in futon for tonight. I'll see you in the morning", I told her leaving the room and heading towards mine.

For some reason I couldn't sleep. She was in a bad state. A terrible state. She hasn't spoken much. I don't want to know what exactly had happened but I'll have to. If I was to help her out and send her back to Moblit as soon as possible. Because, Petra will definitely not be happy with the idea of Hange of all people staying in my house.

I heard a loud bang accompanied with a little cry. I quickly woke up, my eyes wide open. I checked the time. 4:30. There was only one person in my house at this hour. I quickly rushed to her room and opened the door. It was pitch black and I couldn't see anything. I made my hand towards the switch and turned it on. Hange was on her knees rubbing her forehead. And then I realised she had walked into a wall. Not surprising.

"Four eyes... There's something called a light switch. You turn it on and the light comes on. That way you don't hit your head", I told her keeping my normal face.

" Oh. Hi Levi', she still looked miserable. But at least her puffy eyes were not as... Puffy.

"Go back to bed, you idiot. It's too early" she nodded and crawled back to the futon. It was almost adorable. When I was sure she was back in the futon ready to fall asleep again, I left the room.

Obviously I couldn't go back to bed. So I stayed awake reading a book I started The night before. The cafe opened at 8:30. As soon as it was half past six I went down to make breakfast for me and the woman that was now staying at my house. I left a little note telling her to meet me downstairs when She woke up and cleaned up a little bit.

She eventually woke up after what seemed forever and headed downstairs. She had washed her face and looked better than yesterday.

"Levi..." , she called rubbing her eyes. Ah she was crying again. How terrible was all this?

"Here. I made breakfast. Buttered crumpet. Hope you like it"
She thanked me and took it from my hand. And she did it without smiling. Her eyes were still filled with sadness. Almost made me want to have that pain for her. I had my cup of tea and sat next to her.

"I'm surprised you still drink tea the same way', she said breaking the silence between us. I slightly giggled.

" I'm not the only one who didn't change though"

She showed a faint smile. But I was happy it didn't look fake. When I felt she was ready to speak I asked her.

"What happened? Why have you been crying since yesterday? And why do you look miserable?"

I got no reply asides sobbing. Maybe asking wasn't a good idea. It just worsened her whole situation.

"You don't have to talk about it. I'm sorry for bringing it up in the first place. Finish your breakfast", I told her looking down at the table.

" N-no it's fine. I need someone to talk to anyway. I just don't feel like speaking now", she told me drying her tears. We had the remaining of breakfast in silence. I had to open the cafe eventually and Hange helped me out. Soon after, Petra walked in to the Cafe to help me out. I met her at the door.

She was smiling when she first saw me but it turned into a frown. She was now glaring at the woman behind me.

"What's SHE doing here?" , she questioned pointing at Hange.

"She slept here overnight. I'm sorry I couldn't inform you"

"SHE WHAT?! LEVI WERE YOU CHEATING ON ME?!" She snapped.

" No petra. Look she's going through a hard time right now and needs comfort. Just let her stay with me until she's strong enough to go back"

"What no. What if she does something with you. What if you get drunk and you know?"

" Petra I drink nothing but tea. I've never had alcohol in my life and I don't plan on doing so. Can we talk about this later. I can't deal with this right now. "

"No. No I'm not having it. She's trying to take you away from me and your letting her do it. I'm going home"

"Petra-"

And she walked out slamming the door.
