I was so shocked that someone joined, "ROBYN:]." could this be the girl that was say across the carriage? I was 90 percent sure it was as the other people with headphones on didn't seem like they would tolerate what I was playing. The same old songs, my theme tunes. They had never sounded so good until this point.
As the train rattled along through the dark tunnels we continued to listen to my playlist, ROBYN:] wasn't playing any songs of her own, she was just listening to mine. Maybe she liked them?
Now I definitely knew that ROBYN:] was the girl that had be enchanted for weeks now. We kept glancing at each other, only for split seconds because when our eyes met we looked away? Unlike the glare that we had shared the week prior. The playlist soon came to an end and started repeating itself. I was curious to see what she would choose to listen to but she didn't change. She just let it play. I thought to myself, "even I'm getting bored of this now, how could she be so enthralled. She might not even be listening"
As it always did, the train came to a rattling stop and she got up, grabbed her bag, and stepped out onto the platform as the tube doors slid open.
My phone read, "ROBYN:]" disconnected from the party."
The train started moving again and that week was over. I could only hope for something else to happen the next time we were both on the tube.
The train came to my stop, I stepped out onto my platform, and began to walk home as I always did. Making my way out of the tube station was always a hassle but it seemed relatively quiet today.
As I made my way up the escalators to the outside world, I small hand tapped me on my shoulder. I wasn't expecting it so I jumped and turned round in a panic.
There she was, ROBYN:], stood on the moving escalator behind me. Her pretty, dyed hair, her cute pair of glasses, and her gorgeous face. How did she get there, she must have ram back onto the train as it left her platform, what could she possibly want?
I stood there in shock as she whispered softly,
"I was wondering, if I could get your number.."
